Do not stay at this hotel. They are aggressive and creepy and lurking around all the time, watching your every move. The hotel is so windy you cannot say by the pool during the day because it's not covered by the strong north wind. It's like being in a wind tunnel non stop. The rooms smell old and musty. The hotel is not close to any services or restaurants so it's very inconvenient. The staff also gossiped about us to other establishments on the island, saying odd things. There are many better places like Ameni, Spina or Blue Sand. Choose one of those instead!

Get a quad, see the entire island. Folegandros is the most fantastic hidden gem. It is paradise and its people are friendly and wonderful. Our stay at Lemon Tree was fantastic and the staff was super accommodating and give us a great recommendation for the island.

It is an attractive series of individual units, around a nice pool, that contain most items necessary for self catering holiday, in a peaceful setting with a good view towards the edge of the Ano Meria village. Breakfast is generous. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bus stops outside, the mini market is a 12 minute walk and stocks most things you need. We walked to the Chora and caught the bus back and also to Agali beach along the road to the Chora, an attractive walk, and then down the steep hill to the beach, also attractive. We then walked back up the steep hill (harder), and walked back to Ano Meria. This stretch is also steep, and the next time, we decided to get the Chora to Ano Meria public bus, from the stop on the main road. Lemon Tree is one of the more expensive options on Folegandros, but I do think it represents value for money, given quality, peace, facilities etc.

My experience at Lemon Tree Houses was utterly delightful. Its location, a bit further from the port, gave us a sanctuary of privacy, making it an idyllic retreat. When we arrived, we were delighted to find only one other couple, allowing us the luxury of enjoying the pool almost exclusively. The level of privacy was truly remarkable. One great perk offered is complimentary transportation to and from the port. This service was distinctively exceptional among the three hotels I've visited during my trip. Interacting with Maria was a joy. Her friendliness was unparalleled, and her insightful advice on what to do in the area greatly enriched our stay. My stay at Lemon Tree Houses was simply splendid, and I can't recommend it highly enough. I urge everyone in search of a blissful getaway to make a booking immediately!

This probably is the best place to stay in Folegandros, in the Hotel Maria the Host receive us the best friendly way! She was more then a Host she is like family inter Hotel!
