Unsafe Stay – and Untrustworthy Management at Hotel Arca de Noé We stayed at Hotel Arca de Noé (Lake Atitlán) in November 2024, and unfortunately, our experience was shocking. $800 in cash and a pair of AirPods were stolen directly from our room. What made the situation worse was the hotel’s response. Despite tons of communication with the hotel manager, who assured us we would be refunded 50% of our stay, no refund ever arrived. In the end, there was zero accountability. Beyond the theft, the service was careless and completely unresponsive. When the incident happened, nobody was there to assist us. Despite our repeated attempts to communicate, the hotel only replied to the agency at a later stage. For a hotel that presents itself as a trusted option on the lake, the experience was unsafe and profoundly unprofessional. I strongly advise against staying at Hotel Arca de Noé. Safety and honesty are the bare minimum in hospitality, and here both were completely ignored.

The view was beautiful but the inside of the room a total disgrace. Dark environment, smelly bedding and besides of the licking bathroom the worst was the MOLD around the sink there obvious, present, disgusting. They fixed the water in the middle of the bathroom but the mold was still there, untouched. I couldn’t stand to stay more than one night of five that I already paid. They said I couldn’t get a reimbursement because I used *******. My bad.

The view was incredible. However...due to a transportation delay, we arrived 1 day later. We tried to notify the hotel, but their phone # was out of order. They did not respond to email. When we finally did arrive (note: we paid for the hotel in advance via *******), they had no record of the reservation or payment. After quite an argument (and we did have the printed receipt!), they gave us a room, but were incredibly, indescribably rude to us for the entirety of our stay. I've never in my life experienced such treatment. And I've never left a negative review. Until now.

Absolutely lovely hotel! I definitely would stay again. It’s clean, the rooms are simple but colorful and comfortable. And the views! The view of lake Atitlan and the volcanoes is stunning. The boat dock is at the hotel’s doorstep making getting around the area easy.
