Visited here first week of may with my partner and 8 month old baby. I would echo what others have said about the check in - its a shambles. Expect to wait over an hour. We got off the bus struggling with our suitcases to finally be offered a hand by a TUI rep who took one case which although appreciative, didn’t relieve any pressure with 3 suitcases, a pram, 2 bags and a baby to hold! We were offered to join a few people in a shorter que to check in as we had a baby.. turns out that took longer than if we were to stay in the other line. Now onto our room.. we had a deluxe junior suite. Except there was nothing deluxe about it? It was dated (okay i can forgive this), firtly the fridge was broke. When reported a handy man came to fix imminently. Next was the air con - although somebody came to fix whilst we were out it still was not working properly and we then couldn’t turn it off! Next - the bath plug was broken. Meaning we had to wait for it to be fixed (again pretty quick) to bath our daughter. The toilet flusher was poor and worked as and when, one night it actually fell from the wall. It appeared it was not fixed to the wall properly. It got to a point we didn’t bother reporting anything more as three times seemed enough, by this point we were a bit deflated. This is not what you expect from a 5* hotel. TUI reps nowhere to be seen all holiday, nothing like other resorts such as Turkey’s TUI blue Grand Azur. Perhaps the management need to take a visit there to see how things are properly done. Food basic and so repetitive. It seemed as though there was the same thing most nights apart from the odd few different dishes. That goes for lunch and dinner. Food is not 5* standard you expect and as seen in other TUI Blue resorts. Understaffed in main family restaurant and so you end up sitting with multiple plates whilst having desert as nothing gets cleared until you leave. Staff are all very hard working, polite and lovely. We did try the Italian, my partners carbonara could be picked up WHOLE with one fork. The grill was nice but other than that I am really struggling to find many positives about this hotel unfortunately. Entertainment was repetitive however it is early in the season so can let this go. There is a kids ‘play room’ which i’d say is shoddy. A few pop up mini tents and dirty old toys. When i say a few i mean two or three.. Coffee machine in the downstairs lobby along with some stale biscuits on offer. Both times we went to grab a coffee there was no ‘normal sized’ cups, only espresso ones. Who is in charge or refilling these? The pool was nice, heated family pool. Lovely bar lady always there but im afraid i didnt take her name. She is worth her weight in gold. Overall, would i recommend? Not for the price no.
