This is family run hotel located not in the touristic area on a hill with a magnificent view. The service is perfect, breakfast sufficient and four-course dinner menu every day something different, also always one dish for vegetarians to choose from. Rooms are big enough, beds are comfortable and the terrace is big enough. Ideal place for vacation in summer and winter, the hosts can give you great advices, where and when to go to touristic or not that crowded places. I hardly return to the same place twice but tempted to go here in the winter again. One note - even arriving at the midnight the first day, there was no issue to get to the hotel.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel. We stayed as a family for a week in January on a ski holiday , half board. Location - the hotel is situated above the town of St. Johann im Pongau and within walking distance of the ski lift in Alpendorf. It is a little isolated but in a stunning location. The walk down to the gondola each morning was nothing short of magical. We got a taxi back in the afternoon as we were tired after skiing . Food - we had half board and the food is really excellent . Breakfast is very nice and all produce seems of very good quality. They cooked porridge for me every morning at no extra charge . There were some lovely cereals , lots of bread and various egg types. My kids would have liked some bacon and some pastries but still managed to have a very filling and enjoyable meal every morning ! Dinner was a set meal with a choice of main course . The food at dinner was just delicious. It changed every evening and was tasty, creative and beautifully presented . One night we had roast chicken and I have never tasted any chicken so good. If you didn't like the set dessert you could have delicious ice cream. Staff - staff were hardworking and really friendly . We loved the fact that we were among all Austrian/ German people . It made it really authentic. The owner , Raimund, answered about 100 emails from me to prior to our visit and he is a very engaging and entertaining host ! We had good fun with him. Rooms - the hotel has just been renovated and it is very nice . Rooms are clean and spacious with a great minimalist look. Pool and spa - there is a gorgeous outdoor pool which we used every day ! Swimming in the pool with snow falling is just incredible and one of our pre requisites for our annual ski holiday . Der Alpenblick did not disappoint . Value - we paid just over 4000 for 7 of us ( adults and teens ) for a week half board and that total included our wine and soft drinks ( charged separately ). I have no idea why this hotel is not 4 star ! It is really fabulous in every way .

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel 3 stelle in Austria in agosto 25 con un gruppo di amici. La posizione è sicuramente piacevole: l’albergo si trova in mezzo al verde, leggermente sopra il paesino, il che offre una bella vista e un’atmosfera tranquilla. Purtroppo, però, le aspettative sono state superiori a quanto l’hotel ha effettivamente offerto. Nelle camere mancano servizi oggi quasi standard: non c’è né una cassaforte né un frigobar. L’hotel non propone alcun programma di escursioni, né gratuito né a pagamento, cosa che ci ha delusi considerando la località. Un altro aspetto poco piacevole riguarda l’accesso alla spa: asciugamani e accappatoi per la sauna sono a pagamento, una cosa che non ci era mai capitata prima in Austria. Anche il buffet lascia a desiderare: la colazione è sufficiente, ma la cena è molto scarna, soprattutto per quanto riguarda le insalate e le opzioni in generale. Il punto più sconcertante è stato scoprire che l’acqua del rubinetto è a pagamento: 3,90 € al litro. Nonostante avessimo fatto presente più volte al personale il nostro disappunto, e nonostante consumassimo regolarmente bevande extra (vino, birra, ecc.) a cena, l’acqua ci è stata sempre addebitata. Inoltre, più volte prima di cena abbiamo ordinato birre o vino per fare un aperitivo in terrazza di fronte al ristorante, ma l’hotel non offriva né chips, né noccioline, né alcuno snack di accompagnamento: un’attenzione minima che sarebbe stata gradita. In generale, abbiamo trovato il personale poco disponibile: ogni nostra richiesta è stata respinta, compresa la possibilità di fare un check-out la sera prima per poter partire presto. Non abbiamo mai avuto modo di parlare con il proprietario, che non si è reso disponibile nemmeno in questa occasione. Nel complesso, l’hotel è carino come struttura e come posizione, ma non ci siamo sentiti particolarmente accolti, soprattutto come ospiti italiani. Non abbiamo trovato attenzioni o “carinerie” nei nostri confronti, e per questo non ci sentiamo di consigliare questa struttura a una clientela italiana. Sicuramente più adatta a ospiti austriaci o tedeschi, ma per noi l’esperienza è stata al di sotto delle aspettative e non torneremo.

Das Hotel ist familiengeführt, die Chefin kocht auf Weltklasse-Niveau, der Chef sorgt dafür, dass man sich willkommen fühlt, und das Team ist superfreundlich, sehr aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal da, diesmal mit Verwandten, und es war ein entspannter, toller Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer sind hell und freundlich eingerichtet, es gibt Kästen, die ausreichend Platz bitten, die Bäder groß genug und die Betten bequem. Es gibt einen Pool. Rundherum findet man Wanderwege. Tolle Ausblick auf die Berge. Wir sind mit einem E-Auto angereist und konnten es an der hauseigenen Wallbox aufladen (zu einem sehr guten Preis). Im Sommer steht der Chef jeden Donnerstag am Abend hinter dem Griller und bereitet lauter Schmankerl zu. Unbedingt mit Halbpension buchen! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Wir hatten 4 sehr schöne Tage mit Freunden, deren Empfehlung wir gefolgt sind, im Alpenblick. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und schätzen besonders die Gemütlichkeit sowie den persönlichen und herzlichen Kontakt zum Inhaber. Die Zimmer sind sauber und bieten genug Stauraum und einen fantastischen Ausblick auf die Alpen. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und sowohl das Frühstück mit seiner Vielfalt an Brötchen und Brot, Müsli und Aufschnitt/ Käse als auch das Abendessen das qualitativ besonders hochwertig ist und geschmackvoll angerichtet wird haben wir sehr genossen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir hatten einen absolut traumhaften Skiurlaub und können den Alpenblick nur wärmstens empfehlen! Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach ideal – nur wenige Minuten entfernt vom Einstieg in die Skiwelt Amade, was uns sehr entgegenkam. Das Essen war ein Highlight – sowohl qualitativ als auch in der Vielfalt. Besonders die regionalen Spezialitäten haben uns begeistert! Das Hotel bietet zudem zwei gemütliche Saunen, in denen wir nach einem langen Tag auf der Piste wunderbar entspannen konnten. Das Schwimmbecken war ebenfalls ein Genuss – perfekt zur Entspannung aber auch groß genug um sich auszulassen. Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt dem sehr zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Personal, das unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Ein super Ort für einen gelungenen Skiurlaub!
