This was our 5th visit to the hotel, which should tell you all you need to know. Michael and Andrea are fantastic hosts, always available for advice on good walks and places to visit. The food is second to none, as good, if not better than Michelin Star restaurants. I would recommend staying on a half board basis as it is without doubt great value for money. The hotel is spotlessly clean and still looks as good as new. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with fantastic views. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are a joy. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

This was our second visit to Der Waldhof. Our first was in 2019 and as thuderstruck as I was on our 1st visit, I am happy to report that our 2nd time staying at this magnificent boutique hotel was just as awe inspiring as the 1st time. How do you improve on perfection?...repeat, repeat, repeat! Has the food gotten better...how do you improve on perfection? Has the hospitality gotten better...how do you improve on perfection? Der Waldhof is perfection in every regard. Andrea and Michael are masters at the craft of hospitality. Even Lukas was seen in the kitchen learning the art practiced so expertly by his father. Could I imagine a more complete hostess than Andrea? I think not. She greets you warmly, arranges your left tickets, gets you to the slopes, recommends your wines, and always appearing at the right time to fill your glass. We visited the 2nd week in January which was a little less crowded than our first time visiting. We were treated to nightly visits at our table by Michael who, as it turns out, is one very funny and entertaining guy! We laughed heartily and sat spellbound as he recounted the long and arduous road that a chef must go through to reach the level of culinary art he has achieved. What a treat for all of us. Every night we experienced meals that are as memorable as the top restaurants in New York or San Francisco. Every night. We brought along some of our adult kids and their significant others this time and everyone agreed...Der Waldhof is peerless. We will be back...of course! Heartfelt thanks to Andrea and Michael. As before, you welcomed us warmly and made our stay with you truly memorable.

A party of 8, and three generations , had an amazing holiday. This was our fourth visit and certainly not our last. The hotel was planned by it's owners and they have thought of everything. The rooms are spacious and have all you could need. The showers are always hot. The spa area is relaxing and immaculate and very welcome after a long day on the slopes. The food is always delicious. When your fussy 12 year old describes his soup as " heavenly" you know the chef is a real talent. The welcome we receive is always warm and we really appreciate the personal service. Andrea is a star, and we love the family feel of this hotel. This year they have added a light and spacious lounge, where we spent happy evenings playing cards. Roll on February 2026!

Best hotel experience of our lives. The accommodations were fantastic and the views of the mountains were breathtaking. Host Andrea and Chef Michael made us feel we were at a home not at a hotel. The food was the best in St. Anton. We will definitely stay there again!

My wife and I spent a lovely 3 days in St.Anton at Der Waldhof. 10 years after our first visit. Very comfortable bedroom and fantastic food that looked to good to eat and did taste wonderful. Great advice as to where to go walking. Thoroughly recommend
