Everything was up to par from reception to the room and the service was beyond amazing

Some of the room functions were not working properly; when I requested to move to another room, I encountered a very rude guest service manager (Fredy); he ended having a big verbal fight with me; such a shame for a hotel claiming to be a five star. I wrote to the GM and left a letter at his office, before I checked out; as well as asking my travel manager to convey my bad experience being handled by Mr Freddy; to our awe, no single respond every coming from the Leonardo management.

Rooms are very nice. This hotel has some serious power issues. Power was out for over 12 hours in one of the rooms.

1. Good value for money. 2. Extremely Clean Hotel. 3. Housekeeping is the best Depart and Extremely good. 4. Good location. 5. Infrastructure is 5 star. 6. Housekeeping is 5 star. 7. Service is 1 star. 8. Food is 2 star. 9. Spa is 4 star. 10. Frequently the hotel sewer refluxes back in the Rooms and Spa. 11. Confidentiality is a big issue if its a long stay because the staff are full of gossip. 12. Security is extremely good. 13. Nice hang out place. 14. The Decor in this hotel is extremely good..one of the best in the world. 15. The Management are rude. 16. The Rooms are nice size. 17. The views from this hotel are out of this world. 18. The permanent residence are a nuisance on smoking cigarettes and noises. 19. The hotel can attract dirty and filthy guests because of the low prices of accommodation and are a problem with Anti-Social behaviour.

We Followed the sign - Leo's Deli into the Leonardo Hotel looking for breakfast. 1st floor open plan Deli at reception. The menu prices a pleasant surprise for the upmarket surroundings. The service wasn't what one would expect from such an upmarket establishment but the coffee was piping hot and breakfast fabulous.

Loved the location and that it is within walking distance to Mandela Sq. The living space is very big, with a downstairs kitchenette and lounge and upstairs sleeping area - it had a studio feel to it, with lots of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. The sheets were beautiful and I slept very well. I note that since it does not have a work area, the Leonardo is not marketed as a business hotel, but more for luxury leisure stays, is this the case? This notwithstanding, it is a great place to stay (and one can use the dining table downstairs). I hope to return soon and stay on an even higher floor to better enjoy the views over Sandton.

We had a fabulous stay at The Leonardo - a true 5 star experience. The check-in was very professional and we enjoyed the complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival. The room was well appointed and immaculately clean. The views from the Alto234 bar are amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is overrated for the price tag. The only thing 5 star about it are the upper floor rooms and the view. Even the alto bar wasn’t that impressive. Breakfast is okay and lacks variety. The one thing that left me a lot to be desired was service at the reception. Some of the people working the reception act like they own the hotel. Zero customer service. When I arrived I needed to charge my phone and asked to borrow an adapter. The next day the reception guy asked if I’ve brought it back, I said no. He said he’ll add a 500 rand charge until I bring it back. What need do I have with a South African adapter worth 100 rand? (I saw the price on it) When I checked out I left it on the bed but he needed to physically see it to remove the charge. Then since my flight was at 10pm and I had checked out at 11am, I was just going to hangout at the hotel. I asked this same guy if he can give me wifi access but he said they’re not allowed to after one has checked out. This hotel is cheap with their wifi. So I couldn’t work on my laptop the whole day. Bottom line I doubt I’m going to be staying here again. I didn’t get my moneys worth. My friend was staying at the Maslow and I toured the place and it seemed they had more to offer their guests for half the price.

Very nice and luxurious apartment hotel in Sandton. Only minus was TV-set has only one chanel available? Breakfast was for one client free even we had 90 m2 executive suite for two person. So the other of us must pay breafast daily.
