Il Miraggio in Val d'Orcia Relais & Spa

최악의 환대였습니다 (업무 때문에 하는 일이죠). 11월에는 항상 이탈리아 여러 지역을 돌며 (인바운드 투어 운영사를 고용해서) 외국인 고객을 위한 새로운 시설을 찾아다닙니다. 그런데 안타깝게도 이 시설 때문에 발도르차에서의 숙박이 망쳐졌습니다. 직원들이 정말 시끄럽게 굴었고, 더 심각한 건 리셉션 직원이 제가 있는 줄도 모르고 청소부랑 저에 대해 험담을 했다는 겁니다! 아이들을 데리고 온 가족들(아이 여섯 명이 끊임없이 뛰어다니고 안타깝게도 저희를 쉬게 해주지도 않았습니다)에게 좀 조용히 해달라고 부탁했는데도 말이죠. (그날 저녁 저희처럼 다른 손님들도 같은 이유로 화를 냈습니다.) 호텔이라고 하기엔 아침 식사가 너무 형편없었습니다 (사진 몇 장 첨부합니다). 토스카나에는 맛있는 음식이 너무 많은데 정말 아쉬웠습니다! 전날 비보나(리보르노!)에 있는 렐레에 묵었는데 꿈만 같았습니다! 영혼을 위한 진정한 즐거움이었는데… 안타깝게도 여기는 그렇지 않았습니다. 사과는커녕 아무것도 하지 않았습니다. 정말 비싼 시설입니다! 미니 콜라가 6유로였어요 (추가 주문 영수증 첨부합니다). 솔직히 좀 과한 것 같아요. 직원들의 실수에 대해 아무도 사과하지 않았다는 사실은 차치하고라도, (추가 주문의 상징적인 의미라도) 약간의 할인이라도 해줬으면 좋았을 텐데... 아쉽네요. 여기 인맥이 꽤 넓어서 다시는 추천하지 않을 것 같아요.

레스토랑과 수영장은 문을 닫았고, 방에는 하수구 냄새가 디퓨저로 제대로 가려지지 않았습니다. 난방도 안 되고, 위층 방은 단열도 안 되어 있고, 도로가 보이고, 차와 개 소리가 계속 들립니다. 서비스가 제공되지 않아 하룻밤을 취소하려고 했는데 "괜찮아요, 그렇게 나쁘지 않아요"라는 이유로 거절당했습니다. 이 호텔은 설명에 적힌 대로 5성급 호텔이 절대 아닙니다.

전반적으로 아름다운 구조지만, 가구 배치가 다소 의심스럽고 저질스러운 취향을 드러냅니다. 들어서자마자 고속도로 휴게소 화장실 특유의 악취가 진동합니다. 침대와 베개는 불편하고, 직원들은 전문적이지 않습니다. 수영장과 바는 괜찮은 편입니다. 건물 자체도 전망이 좋지 않고(지방 도로라서) 가격도 너무 비쌉니다. 다시는 가고 싶지 않습니다.

A Truly Exceptional Stay – A Hidden Gem in Tuscany All we can say is: what an exceptional experience! This charming boutique hotel is everything you could dream of for a perfect Tuscan escape. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The staff were absolutely incredible—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They made us feel right at home, going above and beyond to accommodate every request with a smile. Their hospitality truly set the tone for a memorable stay. Our room was beautifully decorated—steeped in character and elegance. It felt like stepping back in time, but with all the comfort and style of modern design. The attention to detail was simply stunning, and we instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful—fresh, flavourful, and served with care. And the evenings? Magical. Enjoying drinks while watching the sun set over the Tuscan hills was like something out of a movie—pure bliss. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant on both nights of our stay, and each meal was a highlight in itself. The cozy ambiance, the breathtaking views, and the delicious, authentic Tuscan cuisine made for an unforgettable dining experience. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms—especially the shower—were spacious and thoughtfully designed. If you're looking for a peaceful, stylish, and heartwarming Tuscan getaway, look no further. Be prepared to fall in love with this place—we certainly did.

I wish we could give this place 6 stars, we truly had an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed our three nights immensely and would absolutely return in a heartbeat. Upon arrival, Mariana took the time to walk us around the property and at each turn was another breath taking view. We enjoyed relaxing at the gorgeous pool and an attendant was constantly checking to see if we needed anything (including our welcome drink we enjoyed lounging by the pool). The room we selected was extremely spacious and overlooked the pool and spa. The couch was a great place to enjoy a drink and the bed was extremely comfortable. We almost felt like royals with the decor and fancy furnishings. A few things to dive into further: Breakfast. The options for breakfast seem endless and everything tastes so fresh and homemade. I barely needed lunch we indulged so much during breakfast. We enjoyed meats, cheeses and a whole array of breads, along with fresh fruits, rotating pastries (croissants, muffins, etc.). It was probably the best breakfast we had during our two weeks in Italy. Special shout out to Luca, the master of pretty much everything at the hotel! He was our waiter in the morning, worked at the bar the night before. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and just an overall gem of a human being. We loved chatting with him about his family and the local area since he was from the area. Dinner. Our compliments to the chef. Everything was just singing on our palette no matter what we tried. We started with the burrata and tomato appetizer which was so fresh. Even something as simple as their breadsticks were the SO flavorful and the best we tasted. For our mains, my mom got the homemade egg tagliatelle with ragù sauce and I got the gnocchi special in a homemade red sauce. Both were phenomenal. Our waiter, Lorenzo, paired our meals with wines which were the perfect accompaniment. It was a little on the pricy side, but given how delicious everything it was highly worth it. The spa. Please I beg of you, if you are going to try anything at this wonderful hotel, please try the spa. Irina is an angel of a human and so incredibly passionate about what she does and it shows in her work. I’ll be honest I had never done the sauna / ice bath experience and was a bit of a skeptic. Irina walked us through exactly what each benefit was to each service and then you essentially get the spa to yourselves for an hour. I went with the “relax” option and my body felt so wonderful after this spa treatment. It was so good we went back everyday. We also had booked a massage and Irina provided frankly the best massage of my life. I felt like a new woman leaving there, Irina really tailored the massage to my liking and I could have cried tears of joy walking out, my body was relieved of all the tension and knots that come with traveling. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights at the beginning of May 2024. An excellent boutique hotel in a great location with a beautiful, picturesque view. All the staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, answering every question and recommending a visit to a stunning winery. They were eager to help and provide the best possible experience. The breakfast and the winery were excellent, with a picturesque view. This wasn't our first time traveling in the area, but there's no doubt that next time we won't look for any other hotel to stay in besides this one.
