La Posta Hotel & Thermal Spa

Maybe the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The people that work here are pros. It is so nice I can't describe it. If it was up to me, its not, we would stay here for a month! Every detail is perfect They say it is a four star, but if you ask me it's a five.

Do not waste your money. Dated, out of touch and totally over priced. Avoid avoid avoid. What a complete and utter disappointment, visiting while on honeymoon for two nights in Tuscany (one of many trips to the region so we know what standard of hotels and service is available). Room: Honestly horrendous, seriously I’d expect better from a 2* hotel at Disney on international drive in July. Small beyond belief, dated, ac that didn’t work, no iron/steamer, damp smell from bathroom that you couldn’t swing a cat in and all for €400+ a night (seriously come on) all while having a view over a fire escape (room 302). Service: Lacking, lacking, lacking, bar in peak season at 10pm not even manned says it all. Reception: Not a clue, clearly new and hotel having trouble recruiting/retraining staff. All over the place. Complaints/Management: Upon arriving at 12pm, our room wasn’t ready, so we spent the afternoon at the pool (side note we were forced to use some very un-secure lockers), prior to spending +€200 on lunch and a few drinks. Room ready at 5pm and after two elevators (from no joke the 1930’s) and left on our own to find room we eventually made it and upon entering my new wife immediately burst into tears. Just a total joke. I spoke to manager and asked to move (wasn’t an option, well only to a worse room as the hotel manager told me), pay to upgrade (again not an option), and then tried to cut two night stay short (again not an option as refusal to refund even one night). A disaster, please trust me when I say, avoid like the plague. There are so many other options in Tuscany. If you want to use the spa, just pay as a day guest. Other than that, there are 1000’s of other options for you stay in while in Tuscany. Trust us it is awful.

We had a wonderful stay here—exactly the kind of peaceful getaway we were hoping for. We enjoyed admiring the stunning views while enjoying a glass of wine in the gardens. The whole place had a classic, old time feel to it. Bar Verde was a nice surprise. The turntable playing vinyl records helped to create a cozy, nostalgic vibe. The highlight for me was swimming in the thermal pools at night. Floating under the stars in the warm water was something both magical and special. If you’re looking to unwind, take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy a bit of old world charm, this place is worth the visit.

A great location and spa for relaxing Beautiful property. We were able to extend a late check out as we did not want to leave but had plans in Roma.

Perfect family vacation. Peaceful location with stunning view and well trained staff It was a perfect family vacation My only mistake is not having the time to stay a full week Would come back with our child when they are older

I would not recommend this hotel for the following reasons. The staff attitude was very elite. My room was very warm and stuffy, and there were no screens on the windows which I understand in an old hotel. I had to take bugs off my pillow to go to sleep therefore, the windows did not remain open. I went downstairs to ask if they controlled the air conditioning And the gentleman said yes what temperature do you want. When I went back upstairs, heat was coming out. The next morning, I asked at reception again if they could put the air conditioning on. She said it was not possible because it was past October one. Then she proceeded to say I know you, Americans like your air conditioning, but it is not possible! I took offense to that. I have been in Italy four times and stayed at at least 20 hotels. All in October and never had an issue with air conditioning. In fact, the next hotels I stayed at which were further in October all had the air conditioning on.
