아타카마 체카르 호스텔

We were a group of friends, on the adventure of a lifetime, traveling for nearly two months when we arrived at San Pedro de Atacama, almost towards the end of our adventure. After a strange couple of nights at a different Hostal, we arrived into a warm welcome at Atacama Checar and Aracelli. She was so thrilled to have visitors all the way from India. And we were so thankful for the warm welcome. She allowed us an early check in and, although I had asked to just leave our bags there until check in time, she gave us keys to our rooms the moment we arrived. We had had issues with water at the place we stayed at before our arrival and were so relieved to be able to have hot showers. Aracelli immediately enquired about our plans and made timely suggestions so that we could optimise our time in San Pedro and the Atacama desert. The experiences we had were so incredible, thanks to her input. And we were appropriately warm because of the extent of information she gave us. Breakfast was really amazing with her home made preserves and hot croissant's & nuts. She was kind enough to allow me the use of her microwave so I could eat my hot vegetarian meal before accompanying my carnivorous friends on the nights out. The rooms were super clean, well appointed, had hot showers, electric blankets & amazingly fluffy towels. She conveniently had a laundry service which I was thankful for, and even washed my whites separately. Most importantly, we felt totally at home, and I felt like I had made a new wonderful friend all the way across the world from where I lived. Thank you Atacama Checar, Aracelli & Ivan ♥️

Extremely kind and helpful staff, they answered all our questions we had before the arrival and also, during the stay, they gave us a lot of very useful tips (where to eat, tips for trips, also arranged a tour with an agency for us). The hostal is located in a quiet place, with beautiful scenery and a view of a volcano from the terrace. The breakfast was excellent, they even made a breakfast package for us when we went for a tour early in the morning. Big room, very comfy bed. It's obvious that the owners pay attention to every detail and do their job with heart. Definitely the best place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Chile.

El hostal Atacama Checar es excelente bajo todos los puntos de vista. Espacios grandes, super limpios, cuidados, acogedores, completos de todo. Iván y Araceli son dueños espectaculares, siempre disponible para cualquier necesidad, sea práctica, de información o bienestar; además, son fabulosos conversadores y por lo tanto es también muy agradable pasar del tiempo con ellos en el jardín o en el salón, punto de encuentro para todos los clientes, donde se puede descansar en el calor y perfume de una linda estufa a leña. Super recomendado para quién busca tranquilidad y calidad de la experiencia.

Un lugar adorable con una familia encantadora. Hemos estado mejor que en casa, compartiendo todas las instalaciones: cocina, comedor, espacio exterior, área de piscina, cenador, terraza elevada para admirar el cielo estrellado...y con la música de fondo de Sofia. Lugar estratégico, separado del núcleo de población lo justo para no ser molestados y no tener que atravesar todo el centro en nuestras excursiones a los alrededores, y lo suficientemente cerca para acercarse a la tarde-noche dando un paseo por las calles más pintorescas de la localidad. Una delicia. Gracias a toda la familia por sus consejos y su hospitalidad. Me llevo un recuerdo imborrable. Ojalá pueda volver pronto
