에코 호텔 마야치크

For our visit in San Juan La Laguna we were looking for an eco friendly accommodation with a nice surrounding and then Eco Hotel MayAchik’ is spot on. Not only the cabins and garden settings are giving you a pleasant and natural feeling. The friendly staf makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. In top of that it’s running a splendid vegetarian restaurant where we enjoyed some delicious meals during our stay. From the extra services that where offered we regret that we did not hade time to do the sauna but we did book two tours that where offered, both guided by Milton ( on other days also hotel receptionists), that gave us a good insight in the Guatemalan coffee growing process around San Juan La Laguna and the different local crafting like cotton weaving and coloring, honey bee keeping , natural medicines and the history of San Juan in general. I would recommend to do at least one of these. More is offered but we only hade one full day. Next time we are in Guatemala we would definitely spend more time here and enjoy this hospitality a few days longer.

It's located in picturesque settings within walkable distance from the San Juan La Laguna. This hotel one of the Softest and most comfy bed I ever slept on. The hotel also has an awesome sauna to relax, and environmentally friendly bio compostable toilet. They arranged tours of local weaving community, and also a guide and trekking to watch sunrise from the Indian Nose mountain. I stayed there just for one night due to tight travel schedule but I wish I could stay longer. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely place with confortable lodges. Hot shower and large bathroom. Nice people who can give pieces of advice and organize trips just in time. Charming tropical garden. Good restaurant for breakfasts and dinners. You have to go there and have good time in San Juan!

A wonderful place off the beaten track! Our cabin was lovely, if a little rustic, but the view absolutely cannot be beat. Food was good, and the kitchen staff is extremely kind. A wonderful place for birding, and the property has several very very sweet and social cats and dogs. One note is that you can expect the nights to be noisy - dogs barked all night and roosters began crowing at daybreak each night of our stay

It's a beautiful hotel surrounded by forest. We loved our time here. The food is excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone at Mayachik. We would love to come back soon.

The place has its own and natural vibe. The bungalows have all what you need to stay breathe and admire the mountains. The hotel has a delicious vegetarian restaurant. I am not a vegetarian and I loved the food The people that work at Mayachik were friendly and helpful with my requests 5 minute walk to the town of San Juan which feels very safe They have a sauna which is perfect to relax (if you are not relaxed yet) Lots of activities to do around, walks, hikes and nature among others
