大した海でも無いし値段の割にはサービスも？ 挙句の果てにはタオル交換カードが無いからペナルティ払えと言われ面倒くさいから払ったらやっぱり部屋にありましただと❗️ 最悪

Villas were amazing, just hoping that the pool was bigger.. Relaxing to hangout at their resto while playing bollards with cocktails.. Kudos to the bartender.. I forgot his name but he was the big guy doing all the drinks.. Very polite and always at your service even he was on to something, he would not let you wait ang get into your request. I guess he is the lead bar tender.. Will be back here soon

We recently stayed here. Family of 3. We’ve only stayed here for a night just for a quick weekend getaway. First time in La Union. We did few research about this resort looking for pros and cons however, we always try not to expect too much so we won’t be too disappointed. We came from Manila and we’ve expected long travelling times. Driving is quite scenic and it’s a good change of view. San Fernando road is a real bottle neck as it’s the centre of the city. I wish the local authorities could manage them better. Allow only designated pedestrian so people won’t crossing everywhere. All sorts of vehicles are also coming from everywhere. Upon arrival to the resort, entrance is blocked. They literally stop your vehicle from entering without even thinking whether you’re blocking the main road. This needs to be improved. Allow a space for the incoming vehicles to stop and enter without causing cogestion before asking whether you have booking or not. In the first place, we will not be coming there without any booking. We arrived earlier than our check in time which is understandable. They resort is also fully booked as it’s the weekend. But they allow you to leave your belongings at the reception while scouting the area. Because it’s just at the front of the beach, you can go for a swim or start surfing while waiting (which we did) . There’s a big restaurant as well in the resort. I did highlight to them to give us a room away from the noice. They gave us a garden view. PROS and CONS Location: Pros- Love the location, beach front, straight out to surfing, easy access to check the surf, beautiful sunset while having your meal or drink Cons- Can get really busy during the weekend or holidays. Noice pollution is like a plague here especially at night where loud music can be heard throughout the area. I will not recommend this place nor any other places within this area for those people who wants peace and quiet. You will not get that here. In saying that, loud music stops at 10pm. But yet, we are early sleeper and early riser so sleeping with loud music is not for us. I think it would be nicer if they could control the loud music everywhere as it’s a beautiful place. Pollution is not just aboutthe rubbish but also the noices. I think Kahuna is not as badas the otherresorts in the far end but can be improved. FOOD: Pros Big restaurant, great view, wide choices of menu. Vegetables are fresh CONS: just so, so. Some food items are either a hit or a miss ROOMS: it’s good enough for us, comfortable beds and room temperature CONS: drainage smells, mouldy shower a good bleach and scrubbing will do, toilets are not really flushing well.

We really enjoyed our stay at the rest house. Place was big for us and food was good too. Staff were accommodating. Unfortunately no welcome drink was serve as we traveled from afar. Reception area probably overwhelmed with so much guests around.

Kahuna has always held a special place in my heart, and while the charm is still there, some parts of the resort could use a little revitalization. The changing rooms and restrooms in the main building, in particular, are showing their age and could really benefit from an update. Service felt a bit uneven on this visit. The staff were generally pleasant but not as attentive as in years past. There didn’t seem to be a managerial presence, and the team appeared quite young — perhaps a bit more guidance and experience would help elevate the guest experience. On a brighter note, the food continues to impress. The Ilocano take on Sisig was especially flavorful and memorable. That dish alone is worth coming back for. One small but noticeable detail: the pool table is in need of repair. Honestly, a well-maintained one would be a great addition to the resort experience — even if there were a small charge to use it.

The biggest asset of Kahuna is that it is the only resort (I believe) in the middle of everything that has a pool overlooking the Urbiztondo, San Juan beach. So it is literally just one step away if you want to learn how to surf, and just walking distance from the hot spots and restaurants in San Juan. Rooms: A little outdated, but I do not mind since I found it clean enough. Toiletries also provided. Restaurant: Breakfast was okay, just plated, not buffet style Service: Nothing superb, but I have no complains as well Overall, I can still recommend this resort and come back mainly for its location! I hope the old rooms get a face lift and renovation.
