I had a very comfortable stay in this boutique hotel in San Cristobal. The design angle is well executed, with an old workshop/residential space repurposed into a courtyard hotel filled with modern art and quiet places where you can relax in a shady garden. The rooms are large with very high ceilings and a genuine sense of space. Despite considerable jet lag, I slept really well here. I was busy most days visiting and photographing carnival celebrations in nearby parts of Chiapas and it was always a pleasure to come back to this hotel, The front office staff were very friendly and helped with laundry and transfers to and from Tuxtla. I also had a few relaxing messages in the small spa room just off the garden. I ate in the restaurant. I'm a little limited by being a fish eating vegetarian, however I enjoyed the fish and pasta choices and the deserts were so large, I usually kept half for breakfast. I can recommend the banana bread for this precise purpose! A few things to bear in mind. The Taller is close to the Na Bolom Museum, however is a healthy 15 to 20 minute walk from the main sightseeing/eating/shopping areas, so bring some track shoes for the cobbles and the broken pavements. Finally, the Taller partly faces onto a narrow road that carries a fair amount of slow rumbling traffic during the day. At some point in an optimistic future, San Cris will greatly extend it's pedestrian streets. Until then, some of the Taller's most impressive rooms may face the impact of traffic noise. I was happier relocating to a room deeper inside the hotel that was quieter.

This hotel is beyond exceptional. The beauty of the rooms and the lobby are unmatched. The location and attention to detail are phenomenal. After I booked six months ago, they reached out at least 8 times, sincerely, asking by email and WhatsApp if there was anything they could to do to help make our stay perfect. And they meant it! I replied with everything from minor things to big things (is there a way we can have our Internet wedding ceremony in the lobby?) and they came through in every way possible. Adriana the manager is the best person (and manager ) on earth and genuinely cares about her guests and staff. Enso at the front desk is also great. We feel as if we have new friends here and our wedding could not have been more beautiful.

I really enjoyed the hotel a lot ! It’s very charming , the rooms are very nice !the taste is impeccable ! The breakfast delicious I really felt like I was at home away from home . The staff is really nice . I highly recommend !

Pluses: Beautiful design, one of few places with nice lighting, luxury touches like fruit on arrival and turn down service Minuses: Design more important than function it seems. Full bed instead of queen (small for 2 ppl), raindrop shower too short for my husband, heating not strong enough for such a high ceiling room (most places there don’t have heating at all), shower leaks because no barrier between shower and rest of floor. Check in and check out required paperwork and was slow — most places in mexico don’t take so much effort to check in. It’s a gorgeous place but the poor functionality and ridiculous paperwork plus the cost make you wish you’d just gotten a cheaper place.

El lugar es mágico. La ambientación del hotel con todos sus detalles, la atención amigable y servicio cálido del personal y la ubicación hicieron mi estancia maravillosa. Cada rincón está lleno de detalles, la comida en el hotel es deliciosa y está a una cuadra de la calle principal para salir a turistear

Voy a decir que este hotel, es el que tienes que reservar! buena eleccion, de hecho la mejor eleccion de hotel que hicimos, la atencion que nos dieron, todo el personal desde que llegas al hotel es de 10! es de calidad diamante!, en la noche puedes pedir que te prendan la fogata en la sala que tienen al aire libre, mientras disfrutas unas carnes frias, la habitacion es muy amplia y muy comoda, esta relativamente cerca de una de las avenidas principales, aunque a mi parecer si un poco lejos a diferencia de otros hoteles que estan mas céntricos, aunque eso queda en segundo termino con respecto a la calidad humana de los que te atienden, son solo 8 habitaciones asi que el trato que te dan es único, y eso vale totalmente por lo que pagas, nos quedamos encantados de este hotel.
