Hotel Panamericano Bariloche

Fui roubado em meu quarto, reclamei com o Hotel e eles me ignoraram. Já estive inúmeras vezes em Bariloche e isso NUNCA me aconteceu. Chamei a Polícia e fiz a denúncia (Boletim de ocorrência), e mesmo assim eles não se manifestaram. Roubaram em meu quarto um AirPOD do último modelo. Provei pelo localizador da Apple onde estava e eles esperaram eu voltar ao Brasil e não se responsabilizaram ainda me bloquearam nas redes sociais. Ladroes !

The location of this hotel is perfect, in the center of things but just at the edge so that the rooms are quite quiet. The rooms, most of which face a magnificent lake view, are comfortable, and the decor is perhaps somewhat dated, almost retro, but I felt had a specific atmosphere. Charming fireplace, big whirlpool tubs in the bathroom, comfortable beds. The hotel will be going a massive transformation to become a Sheraton, and I hope that a lot of the personality of this hotel will not be sacrificed into anonymity. Spa: lovely, warm indoor pool, with a lifeguard (who also politely and tactfully encourages people to shower before entering the pool, so I think this pool is the cleanest one, outside of Japan!) The hot tubs outside can be reserved - a simple process, which avoids queues, and they are lovely and highly recommended, with the lake view. The spa has lots of space, nice sauna, great workout room. Breakfast: tasty, very nice food, home baked sweets and amazing breakfast staff that will do anything possible to accommodate the guests. Staff: not only in the breakfast room, but the check in and front desk were uniformly amazing, as well as the cleaning staff and the spa. Helpful, International level staff.

Room of good size but Bathroom is very old. Some major up grades are needed. AASAP. Breakfast was ok but with not many options compared to equivalent hotels of same category. Pool and sauna are not very accessible since they open at noon and close early (very strange hours). Hotel is close to the main street and restaurants. Lovely staff, No business center or any other computer to work. Need to follow a marriott standards.

Beautiful place, nice decoration and AMAZING view. That jacuzzi on the top of the building with the view to the snowy peaks was so cool!!! However, the employees in there were kinda cold. And an employee tried to charge me for water in the breakfast… did I mention they can’t speak Portuguese, can’t speak English and can’t even speak spanish slowly? 🤦

Whilst we fully appreciate that the standard of accommodation would not be quite up to the standards that we have in Europe ( we were in a group of 11 staying with Mercury travel). We were amazed to find no air con in the rooms. We were able to secure a fan to make night times a little more comfortable. The bar staff displayed quite a rude, couldn’t be bothered attitude - which was galling. Even when we tried to order drinks in Spanish they simply barked ‘scan’ at the bar code menu … really? Dos Cerveza??? How hard is that to understand?? Breakfast was poor. The rest of the hotel was ok. But for a country trying to encourage international guests then a little more enthusiasm is needed.

This is a lovely hotel situated perfectly within the centre of the town. Staff are mostly friendly and welcoming. The rooms do not have air conditioning but fans are available. On our first evening dinner was of a high standard. My only complaint relates to the bar staff. Both men sat aside the bar area looking at their phones. On asking for service they were unfriendly telling us (and our friends) to scan the menu. Service was slow and austere. This was the evening of 22 Jan. Their attitude put us off and to that end we all ate elsewhere the second night. Breakfast staff, reception workers etc were excellent.

The reviews aren't wrong. This was probably a great hotel decades ago but could be very easily a top notch property if the owners want to renovate it. The staff is eager, helpful, attentive and several can speak English. The location is very solid - you're not in the think of all the downtown mayhem but not more than at 10-ish minute walk away from it all. The rooms are spacious. The lakeside views are phenomenal. The buffet is fine - not going to knock your socks off but offers plenty of variety and they can make custom omelettes. The spa was good (and reasonably priced). The outdoor jacuzzi tubs were more of a gimmick (the water wasn't that hot and the jets aren't particularly strong). There are restaurants, pharmacies, banks and gelato stores in close proximity if you don't want to sojourn into downtown. Only things that were annoying - 1 of 3 or 2 of 3 elevators were typically out of service and the water pressure/hot water availability wasn't great. Wifi is was so-so.

For the price we paid, the value was great. Our stay had a lake view and included buffet breakfast. I came here with my spanish-speaking significant other so he did the majority of the talking but when I tried to converse with my limited spanish the staff was very kind and courteous. The rooms are obviously dated and should it be refreshed, this review would be a 5 star review. But let's be real-- you're most likely going to be outdoors anyways! The bed was comfy so a good night's rest is what really matters and we definitely had that here. The view was beautiful and every morning we could see the snow-capped mountains. Another positive is that this hotel is pretty central to other touristy places. The buffet breakfast had a good variety but I must admit my favorite was the coffee machine that could do cappuccinos and lattes. The staff there is polite and efficient; they would clear your plates while you stood up to explore more and would offer any assistance if you looked confused. Even the lobby service was great when we ordered some cappuccinos one night! Not what I expected from this hotel. It came with a little biscuit to pair with the coffee. Highly recommend and the next time I come back to Bariloche we likely will stay here again though we do hope the rooms get a bit more TLC. Even though the rooms were dated, the vibe of the hotel was very nice and gave off an old-timey elegance fit for the architectural designs inside.

Stayed here for three nights and loved our time. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Great location, with excellent views of the lake and short walk to the heart of tourist activities. On the main line for bus 20 that takes you on the circuito chico. Breakfast had a lot of variety and lots of staff to keep the buffet freshened.
