손더 - 라 빌리타(Sonder at la Villita)

Overall a wonderful experience. Apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for comfort was the sofa bed my son slept on was pretty bad, even by sofa bed standards. It didn’t really lay flat, was angled up towards the top, mattress was incredibly thin and you could feel all the metal bars. There have been so many improvements in affordable sofa beds that it was a surprise and a pity and sort of stood out they didn’t have a more contemporary one, especially considering that the rest of the apartment was well appointed. Everything else was great though. Comfortable bed in the bedroom, loved the climate control and the ceiling fans. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely stay with Sonder again!

Communication was clear & we had everything we needed. Plenty space, good location at a reasonable price. Carpet was a little old & bed was firm. It would have used a mattress topper. All was clean but carpet didn't appear clean because of it's age. Liked having the full kitchen, office and separate living room.

The location is ideal for walking to riverwalk shopping, attractions and restaurants Free parking in the garage was the biggest perk No human interaction makes for a confusing check in U have to find your lock box and retrieve placard and keyfobs Took a lot of walking to find the section that our room was in Long term residents mixed in with short term, thankfully, since this was the only human contact and he pointed us in right direction Code after code, keep an eye on your emails so u r prepared when u arrive 1 to open lock box 2 to open your room door, and they are finicky and do not always open The fob opens the garage gate and doors. We had one that never worked. Text messaging was prompt but i prefer a live person at least on check in Felt like a secure and safe area We had a 2 bedroom and the only tv was in the living room. unless u have a phone and streaming services, there is no reception. u watch tv from your phone Overall The facility was clean, secure, safe. No perks. No frills. Living space is small. We needed a place to sleep and rest so it was good for us.

It was a full fledged apartment. Washer, dryer, walk in closet, oven, microwave, bath, shower, you name it the appliance was there. For the price and location you can't compare. Just a short walk down to the riverwalk or villas. The FOB system was a little confusing since I wasn't expecting the garage opener to also open every door in the apartment complex. Other than that it was a glorious 4 night stay in downtown.

The most important clean comfortable and quiet. If there is a kitchen I would expect some oil for cooking. For four days of stay or three nights we had a two coffee pouches and four sugars. So stock little more. Add one extra blanket for cold days and britta pitcher would be nice. Be aware that this building complex is huge

The good: Elevator was working Apartments are internal to the building so I felt safe Having a washer/dryer/microwave/coffee pot/refrigerator was great. Easy check in Easy to get in/out of room (easy keypad) Great area Loved the patio The not-so-good: Bed was hard Wayfinding once inside the building was insufficient. I had a hard time the first couple of days knowing which door was the exit. Wasn’t marked. Had to ask a resident how to get to my room. Flooring in the apartment had divots. The vinyl laminate flooring was not installed well.

My first room had roaches and a pee stain on one bed. It took hours to get moved. Was moved to a smaller unit. No compensation. Then received a bogus charge. Emails are not received or sent.

The room was nice, the property itself was well lit, but, in need of some maintenance

Great place right in the heart of San Antonio. Room was super nice and spacious, had functioning amenities (oven, microwave, fridge, coffee, etc). Easy instructions to follow and comfortable area. The convenience of being within walking distance of so many attractions and restaurants was amazing, especially for the very affordable room price.
