Dear Hotel Emma Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express a concern regarding the billing for our recent stay over Memorial Day weekend. While our overall experience at Hotel Emma was excellent, and the service and accommodations exceeded expectations, there was a misunderstanding regarding the cost of our room upgrade that I’d like to bring to your attention. At the time of booking or check-in, we were informed that the upgrade would be $575. We understood this to be the total cost for the stay, not an additional $575 on top of the base rate of $450 per night. Unfortunately, we did not realize the full extent of the charges until after our stay was completed. Had we known the upgrade was additive rather than total, we likely would have made a different decision. We value transparency in pricing, especially when it comes to premium upgrades, and wanted to share this feedback in the hope that future communications might be clearer for other guests. We would appreciate any consideration you can offer in regard to this discrepancy, whether it be a partial adjustment or a credit toward a future stay.
