빌라 마르티누스(Villa Martinus)

Our stay at Villa Martinus was wonderful. The room was impeccable, the breakfast delicious and the host was helpful and professional. The standards were so high that we couldn't notice it was the end of the season (something we've witnessed at other places). This must be one of the most charming places in the south of France and it is perfectly situated to discover the wider region (be sure to ask Martin for some tips and tricks !)

Perfect location if you have a car. We stayed for 5 nights and really loved our stay. Perfect base to tour the wonderful French Riviera and return back to a relaxing haven away from the crowds. Rooms are lovely and stylishly decorated. Martin is a fabulous host, lovely, laidback and full of helpful information. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay in Martin's Villa. He is an exceptional host. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well decorated with thoughtful touches. Our room had excellent air conditioning too and a really good shower. There was also a fridge and safe in the room. The location is perfect for exploring Vence. Breakfast was a welcome treat and nothing was too much trouble for Martin. It was great to be able to relax by the pool. When you arrive, ask the taxi to take you all the way down the hill to the last house on the right, this is a little hard to see if you arrive in the dark. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

We've spent Easter holidays at Villa Martinus and we found a beautiful property as depicted in the pictures. Everything is new and in perfect condition. I appreciated the silence, the possibility to park inside the courtyard and the great breakfast. A special remark for the tasty homemade jams by Martin's mom! Martin is definitely a great host and he was always happy to talk to us and give recommendations on what to see or where to eat. I can't wait to be back.

The owner Martin is very kind, helpful, friendly and nice! He also makes great cocktails! The rooms are beautiful, tastefully furnished and very large with a small kitchenette for any need. Breakfast is fantastic and Martin offers a lot of homemade and organic food. The pool is spacious and super clean with several sun beds and umbrellas. The location is great for staying out of the busy cities, yet close to everything. I highly recommend visiting the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and listening to all of Martin's advice. We were looking for a place to stay in Nice while the Monaco Grand Prix was taking place, but as everything was fully booked, or extremely overpriced, I decided to look up near my favorite village, Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Like Nice, everything in that area was booked too, except Villa Martinus. I would find out why later. On check-in, we were greeted by the friendly proprietor, Martin. He helped us with our luggage and gave us a tour of his beautiful Maison d'hote. I learned that the only reason that we found availability was that he had just opened, and we were his first guests. Martin is the consummate host. There is absolutely nothing about Villa Martinus that I found displeasing. He even cooked us bacon and eggs for breakfast, which only served to compliment the traditional Viennoiserie, which he had prepared. We will definitely be back!

My daughter and I stayed at Villa Martinus end of August / beginning of September for five nights. And we enjoyed every minute. We had a spacious and stylish room with a really big bathroom. The garden and the pool area are really nice with sufficient sunbeds. Breakfast was perfect, in particular compared to other places in France. Martin, the host, is a very friendly and interesting person. He knows a lot about the regions and his restaurant recommendations were great. And he always made the reservations for us and just send a whatsapp message when and where to be for dinner. Thanks a lot, Martin! You need a car when you stay at Villa Martinus, but with a car the location is perfect. You are in a quite environment, but it does not take long to go to all the famous Cote d'Azur places or to the small villages around (where all the good restaurants are).

Martin, the owner, was great, very nice and took care of everything, including serving us breakfast, cleaning and having everything perfect, and also providing very useful sightseeing advice.
