블루 마르구야 시뷰 호텔(Blue Margouillat Seaview Hotel-Relais & Chateaux)

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at this hotel and feel compelled to write a negative review. When making a reservation, the hotel insisted on booking a double room for us, claiming that our 6-month-old daughter needed her own space. Obviously, our baby cannot sleep alone at such a young age. When I pointed this out to the hotel, they responded that they wanted to give us the most expensive room because they were concerned about the baby disturbing other guests in the other building. I find this attitude to be highly unsympathetic and lacking empathy. Additionally, the rooms they proposed were not advertised as "adult only" on any search websites or their own website. I regret not being able to stay there, but it is better to know these things in advance and be able to book elsewhere. I am truly ashamed that Relais & Chateaux includes a hotel with such an attitude. We usually stay at Bonvoy hotels where we are platinum members and have never encountered anything like this. In fact, we have always been treated kindly and accommodated for bringing our daughter, who is a calm and quiet child.

We stayed 3 nights, which we highly recommend as it allows one to experience the exceptional cuisine and wines on offer complemented by a warm hospitality in and idyllic relaxing setting made of a 360 degree view over the St Leu Village and whale infested ocean below with the most beautiful sunsets as a back drop. We didn't want to leave.

Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Exceptional service, nothing too much trouble, food amazing! Great view, including of the migrating humpback whales. Lovely location as well for Saint Leu restaurants and Kelonia turtle sanctuary.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for four nights to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday (two and a half years late due to Covid!). Our room on the first floor and private terrace were lovely, the views absolutely stunning, every member of staff was welcoming and efficient, and the food of an exceptionally high standard. Breakfast was served quickly each morning and there was a great choice. We treated ourselves to the elegant vegetarian tasting menu for our final evening - and it didn't disappoint. It's often hard to get really good vegetarian food in France/French inspired restaurants but this menu was creative, unusual and made for a memorable last night to our stay. Merci, Marc Chappot! And another heart-felt thank you to Frederic Kuhry with whom we enjoyed chatting, who gave us good advice about what to see in the area and in which order - and who even arranged a discreet little birthday surprise with the dessert on our final night!

We stayed at the Blue Margouillat for 5 nights, our room was beautiful with and indoor and outdoor shower and a lovely terrace and view over the sea. The food is excellent and the portions very generous. All the staff were friendly and always helpful. Could not fault it.

We had a wonderful experience: the service was excellent, the restaurant offered delicious gourmet meals, and the sunset views were stunning. It was a very romantic and a perfect private getaway for couples.

8 nights in the Créole suite couple + 3 years old kid. Impeccable service, good location, easy to park in front. Créole suite is extremely quite, sea view and a vast jacuzzi. The restaurant is famous and the cuisine is high level, even the wine book is amazing. May I insist on the kindness and supportive attitude of the staff? Don't hesitate a second

We really appreciated our time there (during our trip we have been there 2 times). Clearly it is the only luxury hotel in la Réunion Island The suite creole is the same price than in many other hotel on the island (we've tested four other 4 star in la réunion...) and has by far the better quality price ratio. We also have been in a cheaper room and still, the quality price ratio was by far better than in the other hotel. they pay attention to detail property is really nice the pool is all day long well oriented and is always sunny. Pool is heated (warmer than in other "luxury hotel") food is jus the BEST on the island best incredible sunset on the island the sommelier apprentice was great service is very good and they really try to be flexible in order to make your life easier if we could, we just would have stayed there for all our trip (even if we would have to drive more... it would have been definitely worth it) as it is the only good small luxury hotel the suite creole with the outdoor jacuzzi was great rooms were very clean
