It's difficult to write a review that accurately describes this hotel. I'll start with the good news - the restaurant is outstanding in every way, truly first-class. It's expensive, but the food is well worth the price paid. Gracious service, and an elegant dining room. As for the hotel - be well-informed if you make a booking. The lowest-priced rooms are in a small building (an old coach-house) adjacent to the main building. These rooms are very small, and relative to the size, they are overpriced by about 25%. I understand that the rooms in the main building are larger, but be aware that they are significantly more expensive than the price you will see advertised on sites such as ***********, etc. That price is for the very small rooms in the coach house. But, although these rooms are very small, they are comfortable and well-equipped. If you only want a place to sleep and don't intend to eat at the restaurant, this is probably not the best hotel choice in the area, even though it is on a very quiet and peaceful estate with beautiful grounds. But, wow, is the restaurant ever good! Elegant French dining at its best.

This really is a delightful peaceful hotel, situated in woodland by the side of a lake. Very comfortable with the rooms furnished to a good standard and a lovely garden to relax in. The restaurant is excellent, a good menu and very good cuisine and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The owner M. Malnou is very helpful and accommodating - and speaks good English. We stayed here in 2019 and were very much looking forward to staying again, although our return was delayed. We look forward to staying again in the future

Très bel établissement ou nous étions ravis de passer quelques nuits pour nous reposer dans le calme de la forêt de Tronçais : nous avons apprécié tant la table le soir au restaurant que la chambre au deuxième étage avec vu sur le parc et l'étang qui borde la propriété de ce bâtiment plein de charme datant de début 1800. Nombreux conseils de balades de la part des charmants propriétaires, accueillants et sympathiques. L'équipe discrète et souriante est aux petits soins pour que votre séjour se déroule au mieux... Petits déjeuners traditionnels, copieux et "faits maison" nous reviendrons sans tarder avec la famille pour renouveler ces bons moments !

Arrivé le dimanche soir et très bien accueilli. Hôtel confortable, calme dans un grand parc. Grande chambre, bonne literie. Repas du soir savoureux, tarif des boissons raisonnable. Petit déjeuner servi à table (ce qui devient rare), jus d'orange frais!. Personnel très agréable. Je recommande.

Soirée étape dans cet établissement sur ma route de retour. Très bon accueil. J'ai eu la chambre 5 indiquée comme insalubre par des commentaires précédents. Apparemment cette chambre a été rafraîchit mais pas rénovée en intégrale. Donc pour la chambre, cela ne mérite pas plus de 3 au classement. Le repas du soir est tout à fait correct. Par contre le petit déjeuner n'est plus du tout dans les standards actuels. Pas de buffet, quelques viennoiseries, tranches de pain et confiture. Pour moi, il était inclus dans la soirée étape mais payer 14€ pour cela, c'est vraiment abusif.

Un emplacement de rêve pour un hôtel où l'on se sent parfaitement bien. Accueil, services, restauration impeccables.
