The room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied
Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch

Complete kip, low ceilings, bad decor, run down, uncomfortable bed, badly in need of a refurb. Bathroom is very poor with shower in bath and broken sink. Rock hard pillows made for a bad nights sleep and a sore neck. This hotel needs a lot of money spent on it

Stayed 1 night. Very friendly staff. Yasmine and Callum and Adam made me feel very welcome over the 4 nights I was there. Would recommend coming again. Made the evening downstairs in the restaurant fun and enjoyable. Had a laugh. Thanks to them they made my evening.

She welcomed us with a genuine smile, made check-in effortless, and immediately set a tone of comfort and care that lasted throughout our stay. Yasmin went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was offering local recommendations, promptly addressing a minor room request, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, her attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction was exceptional. She managed to strike that perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness that makes a guest feel truly valued. It’s rare to encounter such consistently excellent service, and Yasmin made our visit feel more like a stay at a boutique hotel than a chain. She is a true asset to the Premier Inn team and a shining example of what great hospitality looks like. Upon check-in, staff members at reception were wearing zipped-up puffer jackets, completely hiding their uniform serving guests like that. Additionally, other staff were dressed in cream-colored, tight, flared leggings—attire that does in no way meet the uniform expectations. The most concerning issue occurred at breakfast. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty and our group + the upcoming reservations clearly fitting within the available space, we were nearly denied entry due to them having 16 pre paid breakfasts. Only after I mentioned that I am an employee of the same company were we reluctantly allowed in—leaving us with less than 30 minutes to eat.
