The North Branch Inn

Have not had dinner here in a while, their previous chef loved salt too much. We had an enjoyable dinner, my wife chicken was excellent ( and she is not a huge fan of chicken)and so was my burger. Not the fastest service around but not too bad and with a smile.good selection of beers. The ambiance is rustic and welcoming. They lose a star because thy got rid of their classic bowling alley.

The North Branch Inn was a recommended place to stay for a wedding we were attending in the area. It exceeded every expectation we had! We stayed in a King Suite in the Library building and the room was beautifully decorated and the bed so comfortable. We didn’t use the soaking tub but I’m sure it’s a treat for those who do. Breakfast is included and includes a fruit course, a coffee cake of some kind, and then eggs and some sort of gourmet potatoes. You can tell the chef was trained in a French kitchen - the guy knows his stuff. Also their coffee is perfect. We didn’t get to eat at the restaurant, but we did have a nightcap at the bar and it’s so cozy and friendly, we can see why they stay busy. Love, love, love this place!

Chill environment with a luxe hipster overlay. Great vibes wnd friendly atmosphere. It’s in what feels like a bit of a ghost town, but that’s part of the charm. An oasis, with a surprise stream in the backyard. And the restaurant is magnificent for both dinner and the included breakfast. Fresh, creative, and tasty.

If I lived more locally would keep this place a secret so I could have it all to myself. But my home is over 3,000 miles away, so I am prepared to share. It’s under relatively new ownership but already they have established such a warm and relaxed ethos, that a three night break feels like a long holiday. Jake Eberle is one of the owners and also Head Chef, after running his own restaurant in NYC, and has brought his magical cheffing skills into the countryside, serving up the most exquisite deep fried asparagus, perfectly dressed salads, and peppered tuna cooked to perfection. His breakfasts are also out of this world - wafer thin slices of apple with toasted almonds, or slivers of pineapple with salt, cakes like you’ve never tasted and the best scrambled eggs in the world. Throw in the incredible hospitality shown by John, Carrie-Anne, Caroline, Andrew and Meng and you could forget that you’re actually a paying guest and not just a friend staying for the weekend. The rooms and communal areas are lovely - tasteful, slightly boho and not in an overdone way . And there are extensive gardens where you can lounge at leisure. Perfection.

We have just returned from a wonderful three nights at the North Branch Inn. Andrew and Meng were the most charming hosts and couldn’t have done enough to make us feel at home. The rooms are large and have beautiful furniture. We loved the addition of the garden flowers. Everything is spotless. All the staff were charming. The gardens are also gorgeous. There are guest lounges with tea and coffee plus a refrigerator. The breakfasts were imaginative and delicious (as was the one dinner we had). Honestly, I can’t find any fault in this place - we have travelled a lot all around the world for work and have stayed in some pretty amazing places but the welcome we received in this beautiful Inn was so special that it rates 10 stars from us!

My partner and I had the most wonderful experience recently at the North Branch Inn! The new owners were incredibly accommodating for us - they changed our dates and card on file due to some conflicts that popped up, made sure that our every need was met and expectations exceeded while on property and made us feel so welcome. We cannot wait to book our next stay back! The little touches really are what hit home for us. Thank you so much to everyone at the North Branch Inn ＜3 You made our vacation so memorable and relaxing and we will definitely be singing your praises to everyone we know. We can't wait to come back
