My assessment of Mama's Hotel in Rome following a five-night stay in February 2025. While the two service staff members provided exemplary service and assistance (rated 8/10), the overall experience was unsatisfactory. The hotel's exterior, elevator, walkways, and pervasive unpleasant odour upon entry created an extremely negative first impression. The elevator was exceptionally small, posing significant inconvenience. Room quality fell short of expectations, with a malfunctioning bathroom door resulting in water leakage during showers. Despite these significant issues, the helpfulness of the front desk staff, who proactively assisted with luggage due to the elevator's limitations, is acknowledged. However, the elevator's small size and manual door-closing mechanism further compounded the negative experience. Sincerely, John.
