Chateau de Rilly

We stayed here in June with a group and found the service to be stuffy and off-putting with the exception of Patrick, who was very accommodating. The rooms were nice, although the A/C weak on the hottest day. Little storage space for clothes if you need to unpack for any length of time. Our biggest issue was the fact that we did not need a full breakfast with lunch and dinners every day, but a carafe of coffee and some orange juice was desired. It was like pulling teeth despite breakfast being included. The staff was reluctant to even have us take a glass of orange juice up to our room and one morning we were told 'breakfast was over' once the group had left even though they were still offering breakfast to the general public. Housekeeping was also spotty - towels not necessarily replaced when put on the floor, coffee and water not always replaced, and once a half-used bottle of water left in our room. Overall, I would not return given the cost of the rooms.

We stayed here in June as a group occupying a good portion of the rooms. The service was lovely and accommodating. The full breakfast was delicious and again the staff accommodated our morning departure timing, getting breakfast on earlier than usual. The 2 dinners we enjoyed there were again up to par. The outdoor terrace was the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail before and after dinner. I'd like to thank the exceptional staff for all they did before and during our stay!

Chateau de Rilly is like staying at a private hotel at a fraction of the cost of this level of elegance. We stayed with a group of twenty for five nights and experienced an unforgettable stay, using several venues which overlook gorgeous champagne vineyards. The town itself has a myriad of small champagne houses to delight you, and three cafe-type restaurants. But Chateua de Rilly has the best and most elegant meals. The rooms were appointed with new linens and towels, replaced daily. An amazing breakfast includes local cheeses, meats, fresh baked pastries, homemade preserves, and eggs made to order. The two three course dinners were beautiful and served with panache. The overall service is crisp and attentive and friendly. One feels like a treasured guest. Umbrellas await your departure for morning rains. The bartender makes fabulous cocktails which you can enjoy in the cozy, gorgeous bar or out on the garden terrace overlooking the reflecting pool. We had a very pleasant stay. Price-quality of hotel and restaurant is very good. Great hospitality of reception and service. Chateau de Rilly is nicely located in a quiet village, between touristic Reims and Epernay.

We stayed for one night.. All staff were polite, friendly, efficient and helpful The meals were superb with an excellent wine list. Lots of parking and the room was very comfortable We did not use the spa facilities

A fabulous stay in a wonderful chateau. Kind,polite,friendly staff. Exquisite food. Cannot recommend highly enough. Superb. We have no hesitation in visiting again. A very warm welcome from all staff. Looked after from a glass champagne on arrival to departure. Cleanliness was superb. Attention to detail was fantastic.
