위치는 매우 좋으며 시내 중심가, 관광 명소 및 버스 정류장(공항까지 플라이버스)과 매우 가깝습니다. 시설이 완비된 주방이 있어 여기서는 정말 모든 것을 요리할 수 있습니다. 큰 식탁이 있는 멋진 거실 공간. 제가 공유한 방은 6명이 사용하기에는 너무 작았고, 큰 여행 가방을 펼칠 공간이 충분하지 않았습니다. 침대가 너무 작았고, 침대 옆에 개별 램프와 콘센트가 없었습니다. 가격도 괜찮았고, 성수기 때 이렇게 저렴한 가격에 이곳을 예약할 수 있어서 정말 큰 행운이었습니다. 나는 이곳을 추천할 수 있다!

나는 호텔 캐빈에 머무르는 것을 매우 즐겼습니다. 주로 기꺼이 도와주는 직원, 특히 프론트 데스크의 레니 때문입니다. 객실은 작지만 꽤 적합합니다. 나는 잠을 제외하고는 방에서 많은 시간을 보낼 것으로 기대하지 않았습니다. Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Unfortunately, before we had even arrived I had contacted the owners to find out if towels were included in our stay and we never received a response. Upon entering the triple studio apartment, we noticed paint/concrete flaking from the wall and one of us even had to put a blanket above the bunk bed to stop debris from falling onto the bed. The property is described as including toiletries and tea and coffee but there was no tea bags and the amount of instant coffee in the container was barely enough for one day. The toiletries were what looked to be shower gel that had been left behind by the previous visitors. When searching for your standard shampoo and conditioner that we're expected to be on display, we found two empty alcohol bottles full of cigarette butt's inside them and bottle tops left inside one of the bed side tables. This suggests that the apartment is rarely cleaned. There was an awful smell of egg/faeces when using the shower and there was no where near enough toilet roll for 3 people for 3/4 days. We understood that the accommodation was described as a guesthouse, however, despite the fact that there was a 'no noise after midnight' policy - the people staying in the otherside of the guesthouse were noisy and shouting all through the night and playing loud music which meant we could not fully enjoy our plans the following day. Overall, we would not stay here again and do not recommend the guesthouse if you want a clean and tidy stay. We decided it would be worth spending extra money next time for a comfortable, reassuring stay somewhere else inside the city.

Great hotel for location. Only 5-10mins away from Hallgrimskirkja (Modern Cathedral) which is a great reference point. Only 10 mins walk into the central area of Reykjavik. 2 mins drive to one of the main highways (No. 49). I stayed in Room 7 located in the loft, which was very spacious, comfortable, clean and warm. I only required a single room and was given a room with 3 single beds, so worth noting for a small group. There was a sink in the room. The shared shower room was next door which again was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in my deal which was a standard continental selection. Ideal for making up a cheeky little sarnie for when out and about. Most importantly, the two hosts were very polite, happy and welcoming. Overall, Ideal hotel for a short stay 😁.

This was a great place. It's located right next to Hallgrimskirken, which makes it easy to explore Reykjavik and there is plenty of parking space in the area. I was positively surprised by the breakfast, and you have the option to store and make food in the evening. The staff is very kind and helpful as well. However, the room I was in leaked water through the ceiling when it rained and there was a rather significant buildup of mould in the upper corner of my room, which made me slightly ill towards the end of my stay. I would otherwise give this place 5 stars, but I can't recommend this place before this issue is adressed, as it's only going to get worse with time.

We recently spent 10 delightful days at Alba Guesthouse and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. Here's a summary of what made our stay so memorable: Great Value for Money: The guesthouse offered excellent value for the price, making it a fantastic choice for our extended stay. Fresh Breakfast: Each morning, we enjoyed a breakfast with always-fresh products. The pancakes were mine personal favorite! Comfortable Accommodations: Our room was cleaned daily, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. Outstanding Hosts: The true highlight of Alba Guesthouse was the hosts. They were incredibly kind and attentive, addressing any issues promptly. When our flight was delayed, the host welcomed us at 3:00 a.m. without any fuss. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly valued and at home. Overall, the constant sense of being welcomed significantly enhanced our stay. We are grateful for the wonderful experience and look forward to returning to Alba Guesthouse on our next visit to Iceland.

Good location 3 minute walk to bus station.Terrible building not taken care, mildew all around, overgrown weeds, Room very small, not very clean, sheets with holes with a greyish color not white, they look unsanitary. There is nobody to let you in. I arrived with temperature in the 30s with high winds and drizzly rain. I had to ask a guest to let me in. The manager was called by the guest he arrived and gave me the keys to the prepaid room. The cost was $129/night.I can not recommend this awful and expensive guest house.
