The worst and most terrible! You may waste a WHOLE AFTERNOON here to wait the host and fail to check-in! We booked one room very early, and when we arrived, there is nobody there. They put the keys with names in entrance, but we didn't find our names and keys. We called the hotel for two hours and nobody answered!! Also nobody answered emails and texts in time. We waited there for a whole afternoon and failed to find a person for check-in. We also missed our booked sky lagoon slot because of wasting hours there. Obviously the administration is messy and unresponsive. Finally we still cannot reach them so we change to another hotel. Please also note this room is NON-REFUNDABLE!!!

Can't beat the location. Bus stop 2 is right out front. Comfortable, very clean rooms. Great full kitchen downstairs with many tables and chairs. Fun talking to other travelers while in this common area. Shared bathrooms were always available, never had to wait to use one and always kept clean.

Our stay was one night. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. The upstairs bathroom needed work. The toilet did not flush properly. The tile on the floor was cracked and the shower needed serious attention.

This is a bit of a mixed review. On the one hand, the location is excellent. It is about a 5 minute walk from a lovely pond and restaurants and shops but is still in a quiet area. We stayed in the studio which was spacious and matched the description. There is a lovely patio outside our room which unfortunately turns into an outdoors smoking lounge. Our room was so hot and stuffy because we didn't want to open the windows since people were often smoking a couple of feet away and would fill the studio with smoke. Even just having a fan would have helped a lot. I would urge the owners to make the patio smoke free since the guest house is as well. Additionally, at check in, a key was left for us with a crude map about where the room was as it took us a while to find it. Clearer instructions would have helped a lot. Finally, the ******* site is incorrect in it's claim of free parking. Street parking is available but there is an hourly charge during the day that added $50 to our stay.

What a pleasure to arrive at such a beautiful room after a long and snowy drive! The location was simply amazing and perfect, the parking was easy, and the check-in process was very simple. The only downside was the noise of some of the residents, but I suppose that's true at most hotels, hostels, and guesthouses. Will people ever learn not to slam doors? Anyway, it was a huge step above a hostel; indeed, it was nicer than most hotel rooms in my price range!

The location is reflected in the name, making this an idyllic spot to walk around the city. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The large kitchen is well-outfitted with several tables, a book/ game shelf, and a television; each room has a designated refrigerator shelf, as well. The owner was very with our having to get a covid test to return to the US.

Location is great-- centrally located to the tourist walking and shopping area. Price was good for being downtown. We stayed in a studio to have a private bathroom. Our only issues were parking and upkeep. We specifically chose this place because it listed free, onsite parking multiple times. This is simply not true. The guesthouse is located street side and there is no parking on the property because it runs right to the sidewalk. They also listed free street parking which is somewhat true, and thus misleading. The free street parking outside the guesthouse is after hours (about 4 or 6pm until morning). There is a time limit as well so you can only pay for a couple hours then move your car. The 24 hour free parking is blocks and blocks away and are areas where there is no P sign which can be a bit difficult to be sure if you are not from that area and can't read Icelandic. They need to update their listing to correct this but also could provide a map of the area to show you where to park which could be emailed in advance, near the main entrance, and in the rooms. They stated they don't wish to be disturbed after hours so arriving late and having no where to park is not great. For upkeep, their speaker to "call" them is terrible to hear. They are not on-site so getting help the next morning for parking was futile. The bathroom sink had a massive hole repaired with some foam. Should be replaced! Old, faded, handwritten, unreadable pieces of paper marked the rooms.
