Wondai Colonial Motel & Ivory's Restaurant

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights to attend a local family reunion. We had stayed at Colonial several times previously .From the moment of arrival, host and owner Mary-Anne was welcoming, and pleased to see us. Our room was recently renovated, and was spotless, and very comfortable with all normal motel facilities and services. Dinner was excellent, and a credit to Mary-Anne and her support team. Thanks Mary-Anne for your hospitality. We appreciated it, as did other family members who also stayed there.

Mary-Anne was fantastic making our one night stay comfortable. She ensured we had everything we needed. Room was large and comfortable with all the amenities of soaps, tea, coffee and milk. Her local knowledge of the area and KRRT rail trail greatly assisted. We had a swim in the pool which was cold but great after a long day. We had dinner at the Motel restaurant Ivories and the food was delicious. Large selection of food, drinks and liquors available.

The motel units are built around a rectangle that is surrounded by shrubs and hanging baskets of flowering plants which make a very welcoming entrance. The rooms are very spacious with a good-sized bathroom that is very clean and tidy. A comfortable bed and necessary amenities make for an outstanding stay. Mary Anne looks after the motel and is a lovely person with a professional and engaging manner. Also a great salesperson for local products. The motel has a nice looking swimming pool. We had our evening meal at the motel restaurant which was delicious and well presented and a bottle of local wine recommended by Mary Anne. A first class motel steered by a lovely lady.

Spotlessly clean large room. Friendly and helpful owner. Direct access to the Kilkivan-Kingaroy Rail Trail. Lovely swimming pool on site. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. Restaurant on site with a pianist present on Saturday nights. Great food and service

We stayed as part of a business trip and it was great. Nice clean large hotel rooms. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food and service were amazing. As first time guests our first names were used a lot. The owner is wonderful. Highly recommend as a stop.

Well run motel in the middle of the Kingaroy to Kilkivan rail trail, rooms are comfortable and tidy with a very good restaurant on site. There is a pool to cool down and stretch as well. Mary Anne and Stephen are very supportive of cyclists on the trail and were helpful when one of our crew was injured. What a delight to experience wonderful country hospitality and attentive customer service.
