We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coolnest. Perhaps the hotel should be renamed Warmnest as the warm, friendly, courteous hotel team stand out for their excellent customer service. We stay in some lovely hotels around the world and the Coolnest team stands with the best of them! Our room (402) was lovely and large with a huge panorama across the mountains. The bed gave us a very comfortable nights sleep. Our only complaint was the small rough/hard bath towels. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea were all excellent with several options on the menu for us as vegetarians, and non-red meat eaters. Excellent location for Penken and Ahorn slopes - we didn't try any others. Taxi's we're 20+ Euro's one way to the ski lifts when the hotel mini bus wasn't available. But there were bus's and trains close by too. Beautiful views from the hotel terrace across to the mountains. Snack afternoon tea is also worth getting back for - lots of choice and more like a meal than a snack! Well done CoolNest!

We were staying down in Ramsau and wanted a special meal for our last night. The walk up the hill took us ~15min (watch for cars in the dark!). We had great service and great food. The price was also good. Make sure you pre-book a table as it gets busy in the restaurant. You get a 2 hour slot which is enough time without rushing. I had one of the curries with chicken and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Spent a week with 2 children +- 10 yrs old. Truly amazing! Staff, rooms, common areas, food, the pool - everything was designed and executed in a way that that ads an extra dimension to a ski holiday. Probably one of the (pun not intended) coolest hotels in the Alps.

We had the most incredible stay at Coolnest! From the moment that we arrived, we were constantly greeted and made to feel very welcome and relaxed by everyone who works at the hotel. The lobby is a beautiful place to relax in and the rooms were extremely spacious for two people. A standout of the hotel is the breakfast and afternoon snack (which was huge, changed everyday, and used excellent quality ingredients). The nourishing food really set us up for a day on the slopes. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main slopes and the very kind driver offered to take us to Ahorn which wasn't on the list of drop off locations as he knew we wanted to have a day on some gentler slopes. Pick up was always very prompt. Sadly, I cannot remember the name of my masseuse (visited on 20/02/2025) but she provided an outstanding massage experience. It was the perfect way to end the trip and replenish muscles after lots of skiing. The value for money is really quite exceptional at this hotel. Thank you to all the staff at Coolnest for giving us such a memorable stay. We can't wait for our next visit!
