BG 호텔 레이 델 메디테라니(BG Rei del Mediterrani)

Me and my boyfriend came here for a week. We’re both quite young compared to the other guests (19) and the way we got treated wasn’t great. It was a lovely hotel, housekeeping staff were amazing. The rest of the staff were a bit hit and miss, some were rude and some were nice. It let down the experience for sure, especially the price we paid to celebrate our anniversary. The rooms were great, location was a nice 15 minute walk to the beach and a 40 minute drive to Palma. The food was absolutely amazing, although some of the waiters and waitresses looked a bit fed up taking drinks orders which wasn’t a nice experience. I’ve been to this hotel before with my mum and it was a totally different experience, staff were kind and helpful then… maybe because we were both so young? I’d definitely say to younger couples to look elsewhere but if you’re in your 30+ perfect place for you. I’d return back with hopes it was just the end of season tiredness but definitely staff need reminding how to give great service to all their guests regardless of any difference. We all work hard to afford our holidays.

14 nights in room 353 all-inclusive. Taxi transfer from Palma airport is around 45 minutes. The hotel is immaculate with well tended gardens. The standard rooms are on the small side but you get used to it. Comfortable beds and excellent housekeeping. Air con is great and it is switched on from a rotary dial beside the bed. Our room might not have a pool view but arguably the view is nicer from the rear of the hotel with a lake in the distance. The food is just excellent. Plenty of choice. Wines are quality too. The hotel has an evening BBQ which must be pre-booked. We went twice. It’s lovely. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s adults only which was peaceful. You need to pay for an in room safety deposit box which was slightly surprising. It’s key operated too. Wifi is ok. Local taxes are around €100 for 14 nights. Local buses are excellent and we pre booked our tickets on line. Fares are reasonable and even more so booked on line. We had such a lovely relaxing time here.

Excellent hotel with great staff. The buffet restaurant was very good, always lots of choice and first class quality. We stayed B&B as we wanted to eat out at local restaurants, but as it happened there wasn't as much choice locally as we had expected, lots of steak places, TexMex and fast food, but a couple were ok. Fortunately we could see Los Patos from our balcony, a fabulous Majorcan family restaurant providing fine dining without being pretentious. We can both recommend the suckling pig and the duck confit, together with a bottle of good local wine and desert, around 85 euros for the pair of us. We also chose to dine in house 3 nights, 23 euros for each meal, excellent value. Our room was kept very clean, there was a library we made use of, but no gym that we could find. We were there to relax and the pool very good, although getting a sun lounger can be hit and miss, some guests were putting towels out as early as 6.30 and bagging them for the whole day, whether they were there or not and the hotel doesn't appear to have any policy in this respect.

This hotel exceeds other hotels I’ve been in especially the lovely staff in every department, the food was excellent the rooms very modern and extremely clean bar staff could not do enough for you/everyone!! Just a great place to. Enjoy and be surrounded by it all 👍 Definitely going to go back one day soon 😊

The hotel itself is really nice. It’s very clean and smells lovely. The rooms are small but are enough for what we needed, we don’t spent a lot of time in the room. Again very clean rooms and the maids work hard. Air con in room also good. We did have an issue the night we arrived where the electricity in our room didn’t work and kept blowing. I told reception and they got this sorted straight away. We were bed and breakfast and I have to say I am glad we were not all inclusive. Breakfast was ok. Lots of different foods. Just a shame the hot food wasn’t very warm, this let it down! We did have poolside food a few days and this was also ok. Pizzas, club sandwich etc… Poolside was nice with lots of beds and umbrellas but the pool needed a clean. The sides of the pool were green in parts and the floating bean bags also need a good clean. Good range of drinks at the poolside bar just a shame that service was quite slow and people were queuing far back at times. All in all the hotel was nice! A few faults but these may be down to personal choice. We were disappointed with the resort on the whole. Our first night we walked down to the main area ( in the town) and sat for a meal. The meal was nice just a shame it felt like you were eating on the side of the M62. A few nights we went to Alcúdia Old Town and this was lovely had some nice meals there. We also went to the marina and had a nice food and cocktails there too. I would definitely recommend leaving the area of the hotel and traveling further on an evening. Lots of litter on the streets surrounding the hotel. We did go to the beach just down the road. This was nice, water shallow, sunbeds €18 for X2 beds and an umbrella, range of water sports if that’s up your street! A lot of “lucky lucky” men patrolling the beach not leaving you alone and also people asking if you want a massage! Pretty annoying really. Local Spar shops right near the hotel which were also handy. All in all, hotel nice and clean but resort not for us.

The rooms, the pool and the public venues were all clean and tidy. The dinner and breakfast buffet was excellent with a variaty of food and drinks. It was a pity that we could not order drinks without ordering food at the pool bar before a certain time

My 4th visit to this hotel, which says it all. Spotlessly clean with friendly helpful staff in all areas from Reception, Cleaning and Bar teams. Main bar and Cap Blau have a nice vibe and particularly love the lakeside location and furnishings in the latter. Beds are comfy and rooms are modern and well equipped with powerful showers, safe and lots of wardrobe space, plus world channels on TV - although no BBC1 (but ITV & Channel 4). Used the hotel bikes to cycle up to Alcudia and Puerta Pollenca as local roads have cycle lanes. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and comfortable at this hotel - which is in a quiet location next to a hospital, but only 500 yards or so from the beach. My only request would be to have tea and coffee making facility in the rooms for an early morning/late night cuppa.

The hotel is immaculately clean and well decorated. The dining room is nicely decorated with a range of seating and soft furnishings that make it both stylish and cosy. The food options where tasty and wide ranging. I visited in May so the evening temperature was too low for outside entertainment so it was located in the bar. It was very good and the bar was cosy and had a good atmosphere.
