Hotel Plunhof

This was an unbelievable experience from A to Z. The hotel is easy 5* (officially 4*s). It is run mostly by a family (mother and 8 siblings) each having precise areas to cover. It is clearly visible they are managing this as their own, with focus on customers, so that nothing is missing. The online pre-check in I found very convenient, at arrival they were waiting us with the keys (and a couple of glasses of bubbly), no paper work, no formalities. The Miriam suite is (I understand) part of the renovated rooms, very modern, including infrared room in the bathroom area, comfortable bed (you can of course ask to change pillows with your preferred type). Spotless clean, spacious, large balcony with superb view. Moving to the restaurant, normally you would have half board (I think that is by default, not sure if you can choose breakfast only), but it is very well worth it. Select your choice out of 2 or 3 daily options for dinner, you cannot go wrong, as food is truly cooked with passion. It is a 5 dish meal, sometime they start the appetizers in the reception area including drinks, salad and cheese buffet is self serve at any time. The SPA area, is apparently very good as well, we didn't use it though as there is a "no textile" in the sauna policy in place, which we were not comfortable with. The heated pools are excellent, good size for swimming inside and outside with a breathtaking view. There are lots of activities every day (yoga, qi-gong, hikes) we particularly liked the hike to their refuge (1h30 minutes of light hiking) where the family prepared a very good barbeque for all, accompanied by some nice schnapps, beers and wine. As a complete experience, I believe this was the best we had in recent years.

We enjoyed a wonderful 6 nights at Hotel Plunhof in October. It was an all around great and relaxing experience. Loved our quiet suite with nice views. The wellness area is amazing and huge and we spent a few hours there daily. Nice breakfast buffet with made to order egg dishes. A 4 - 5 course dinner with various choices plus salad buffet and after dinner cheese selection. And an amazing wine list accompanied by very knowledgeable and friendly service. There is great hiking and biking right out of the hotel. They also offer a bunch of guided hikes, bike tours, etc. Maybe the best part though are the people working the Plunhof. It just makes for a great atmosphere when everybody has a smile on their faces. We hope to be back next year.

Abbiamo prolungato il nostro soggiorno rispetto a quanto preventivato e credo che questo sia il prologo migliore per una recensione più che positiva. Il Plunof, hotel 4 stelle superior rinomato e premiato, ha subito un restayling proprio a ridosso dell’estate e molte sue parte comuni sono state rinnovate, sono stati creati ambienti del tutto nuovi, e la suite che occupavamo era una vera, bellissima, novità. La pensione non è una 3/4 che prediligo ciononostante è pieno ovunque di angoli che offrono frutta secca o mele per un piccolo snack durante la giornata e devo dire che questi corner sono sempre rifornitissimi e pulitissimi. Altrettanto pulita e tenuta in ordine la zona wellness, molto bravi i maestri di sauna anche se a dirla tutta ho trovato molto più coinvolgenti le gettate con sottofondo musicale piuttosto di quelle che prevedevano la proiezione di video piuttosto datati oltretutto. Altrettanto datate ma molto molto apprezzate invece le raffigurazioni in spa che narrano di un tempo lontano in cui gli uomini andavano in miniera, foto davvero suggestive e una storia affascinante, del resto la stessa spa “minera” è ispirata alla narrazione di quel tipo di vita e quei luoghi, nulla di simile in nessun’altra spa dell’Alto Adige, i miei complimenti e se la zona dedicata alle varie saune è davvero molto bella e suggestiva, il top questo albergo lo raggiunge con le sue piscine, meravigliose!!! Tornando alla gettate, Eleonora ti conquista, minuta e delicata ma anche immensa e potente ti sa coinvolgere e travolgere, chi gestisce l’hotel deve assolutamente valorizzare questa donna così grintosa e solare che tanto impegno infonde in quello che fa, ha davvero tanta passione e dedizione per il suo lavoro e queste persone vanno premiate! E ha proposito di persone da premiare, Milton allo show cocking è un vero tesoro, anche lui si dedica ai suoi compiti con tanta efficienza e precisione e non manca di mettersi a disposizione del cliente sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra, è proprio una bella persona oltre che un grande lavoratore. Dovendo invece evidenziare delle criticità ma nell’ottica di aiutare a migliore un servizio che deve essere degno di un 4 stelle superior, non mi sono affatto trovata bene nella sala che mi era stata assegnata per mangiare, atmosfera bellissima in un ambiente rinnovato e dal design moderno ed elegante ma servizio pessimo, estremamente lungo e confusionario per una cena da 4 portate, tempi biblici tra un piatto e l’altro, una sera ci siamo seduti a tavola alle 19 e abbiamo finito alle 21, inaccettabile! Il giorno seguente è andata meglio ma i disservizi non sono mai mancati, i giovani ragazzi in sala si vede che necessitano di essere guidati e coordinati, serve qualcuno che tenga le fila del servizio e supervisioni meglio per offrire ai clienti maggiore precisione e la garanzia che non venga trascurato ogni più piccolo dettaglio… soprattutto non è accettabile che vi sia chi non comprenda una parola di italiano, giusto offrire d

Un posto tranquillo dove ci si può rilassare e riprendersi dalla frenesia quotidiana. Grande attenzione da parte di tutto il personale ad ogni esigenza, cucina di elevata qualità e con numerose scelte. Spa, piscine e zone relax nonché tutte le altre possibilità presenti che non immagineresti… direi complimenti a tutto e tutti… ci ritorneremo sicuramente

Zu unserem Hochzeitstag durften wir Gäste in diesem wunderschönen Hotel sein. Unsere Erwartungen wurden vollkommen erfüllt. Die Mitarbeiter waren ausnahmslos freundlich, das Essen sehr gut, der Wellness- und Poolbereich 1A. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sind entspannt abgereist.
