에르다드 두 바우(Herdade do Vau)

5 star place with 10-star staff (Theresa and Inez) and Assistant Manager (Luis)! It was beyond our dreams. Outstanding care and food and location and views. I have nothing more to say. Stay a week or more!

This has been the single best place I’ve been to in a long time. The location is breathtaking, picturesque and very tranquil. An amazing place to get lost in the beauty of nature and we also found it to be an amazing place to reflect and just appreciate a peaceful moment.. We dinned with the owners of the Herdade and other guests, which we thought it to be a lovely personal touch. Our apar**ent was beautiful, spacious, clean and well equipped. We cannot wait to returned and highly recommend this fantastic little g of a place.

Wasn't sure what to expect after a 3-4km approach on a dirt track, especially as we had booked it months earlier and couldn't remember why! But after all that we absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return. Rustic charm and a chic ambience delightfully supported by relaxed, friendly staff all in a stunning vineyard location in the middle of nowhere. A set dinner supper is available if you book (30 euro with wine) - no choice but good home cooked Portuguese fare. Breakfast is vibrantly fresh and carries on through the sense of wellbeing. A honesty bar, a beautifully designed infinity pool and walks through the vineyard down to the river complete the package. Superb.

Let alone the setting is magnificent but the hospitality was amazing. The scenery surrounding is beautiful. We started with wine tasting with approximately with six other people. We then went onto pre dinner wine with nibbles and finally dinner where the gorgeous wine flowed. The other six people were good company and a great evening was had by all. Our host was extremely attentive and well organized.

We loved our stay at Herdade do Vau. The setting is beautiful and the staff are lovely. Only down point was the poor communication during the weeks leading up to our stay, kept having to chase them to confirm dinner, wine tasting and vineyard visit. We nearly cancelled our reservation because we didn't have confirmation that these could be booked, making it pointless to stay in a vineyard. They were only able to confirm dinner.

This is a beautiful and great place to be in Alentejo. Beja is relatively close by if you need anything else than the nice food and wine (and other drinks) the hotel provides. Signing up for the dinner is also recommended as it is great food. As a bonus: dogs are allowed which makes it even more special. We shall be back.

Quiet and relaxing.

Lugar de excelência para quem pretende ter alguma tranquilidade. A ausência de TV e Internet condicionada é fundamental. Espaços de lazer e quartos decorados com muito bom gosto. Espaço exterior muito agradável para se estar incluindo uma piscina. Vistas maravilhosas para os olivais, vinhas e para o Guadiana. Staff de uma simpatia como é difícil de encontrar, em especial a Mafalda e a Sra.Teresa, sempre presentes sem serem intrusivas. Coincidiu com a nossa estadia, a presença dos proprietários que foram também muito simpáticos e com quem tivemos oportunidade de conversar (Eng. Miguel e filho Martim). Bem hajam a todos. Experiência a repetir.

Esse lugar é um sonho. O atendimento é nota 1000! Sônia e Tereza são um encanto ! Dormir dentro desse vinhedo, foi um privilégio !
