The ancient hotel of Auberge El Fayoum is a lovely place to stay, you can smell history in its well kept rooms, lobby, restaurant and gardens, overlooking Qaroun lake, serenity is unmatched till the weddings at night, there’s a wedding venue next to the hotel that ends at 1 in the morning. Staff are super friendly, and rooms are clean.

The hotel has a great ancient atmosphere; once you enter you can feel it. The staff are very helpful and smiley and tried to please everyone. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious and lot of varieties. The view from the room is breathtaking, and you can enjoy a relaxing stay everywhere in the hotel. There is a nice playground for kids. However, the rooms were tiny and could hardly accommodate a family of 4. There are no elevators for the upper floor, so make sure when you reserve the room that you need an accessible room or not. Hot water during winter was not available all the time. During our stay, the weather was a little windy during the night; we felt that from our room. The overall experience is very good, and I recommend it for stay in Fayoum

Great stay,because love history! It is „ history revived“, because every thing is in such a greatness! I was one night At this hotel, which is normally occupied between October and March. But The stuff does everything please the Guests’ great and very recommended

We visited this place over 30 years ago. It still maintains its ambience and personality. Welcoming staff, rustic furniture, well preserved clean rooms, efficient A/C, good breakfast. The meeting room arrangements and audio-visual aids are good. Price is also good. Will certainly recommend it

On our way from Cairo to the Fayoum we decided to stay here for one night and I must say what a great hotel. A magnificent historical atmosphere and a great ambiance with a friendly helpfull staff, a great diningroom and a nice swimmingpool and terrace.

I had a terrible experience during my business trip at Helnan Auberge, first of all the staff is very grumpy and not helpful at all even if its their job to assist in my request, secondly, Mr. Walid; F&B manager at the hotel is very disrespectful, he spoke to us in a very rude way. Also Helna the reservation manager is very rude. Beds and extremely uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep all night. I had no hot water in my room. My room’s phone wasn’t working. I had no trash cans in my room until I asked them for it. The room smelled terrible. I had the palace hall booked for sessions and they placed plastic cups and spoons for the guests to use for beverages. I insisted on glass cups and stainless spoons, I was told by Mr. Walid and I quote “I don’t have glass cups or stainless spoons” but when I insisted he brought glass cups and brought wooden stirring sticks and then told me “By the way the wooden sticks were NOT covered” AS IN THEY’RE STORED IN A HYGENIC MANNER, the audacity of him telling me proudly that he brought cutlery that is not clean The only good thing about this hotel is their bar tender Peter which was the only hospitable employee in this establishment.

No one smiles in this hotel. Staff is very cold and inhospitable. Helna I think she’s the reservation manager is rude! They charged us for using the pool table in the bar. They have a shortage of staff. At the hotel bar there is no beverage, they bring it from the kitchen. The bed and pillows are stiff and very uncomfortable. The hot water is not consistent. My colleague did not have hot water. During check-in there was no bell captain to take our colleagues to their rooms.

First of all you enter the reception and it’s decent with antique and elegant vibes and it stops here. -The staff are rude -The rooms are ancient, walls are filled with cracks and dirt. The bathroom is disgusting, old and filled with gunk, not cleaned thoroughly there was hairs stuck on the walls, faucets are rusty and filthy to touch, bathtub floor haven’t been cleaned maybe in the past 5 years it’s disgusting to stand in it and look at the faucets, the water was brown with fluctuations in water pressure in both the sink and the bathtub that you can’t clean your face even properly. - The diner staff, food service workers are rude again. - the food had few options with very poor quality and sanitation, the dessert had an insect repellent smell and taste in it and the yogurt had flees. - lake Qarun area in the hotel had few chairs not enough for people, old chairs and floor tiles are cracked due to pipe change. - the pool area in not clean as well. Everything is rusty, ancient and need improvement to call themselves a 5 star hotel and a part of the Helnan chain.. Maybe it’s a good option but it’s just disgusting to stay in and needs heavy improvements.
