Punta Gorda Waterfront Hotel and Suites

Positives - Good rates, generally good location, bed was comfortable Negatives - No Wi-Fi - explanation was that the router was down, but would be dealt with on Monday. I checked i Friday ad checked out Sunday with no WiFi No coffeemaker or hair dryer in room as advertised. Phone message light flashed all night and could not be turned off Facility needs repair. Locks on doors were damaged in my room. Unsettling to a woman traveling alone.

We were coming from out of town, to visit the Punta Gorda seafood and Music festival. My husband booked 2 nights for the P G Waterfront Inn. We arrived to find the hotel boarded up and locked. The roof was damaged, walls were stripped by the hurricane. Why is this hotel still listed on Price line? We sat in the parking lot and booked another hotel. In Punta Gorda. Who is to blame? Price line or P G waterfront Inn?

A family member reserved a block of room for a family funeral in the area. We had three people going to share a double queen room. We paid from the room, we upstairs and immediately left. This is the absolute worst hotel I have even been in. The smell in the hallway was bad, but the smell in the dirty, broken down room was even worse. Don't be fooled by the exterior, the rooms are absolutely atrocious. We didn't even go into the room. They would not refund our money, but I didn't care because there was no way I was sleeping in that room. VERY RUDE staff. This hotel is more of a "pay by the hour" place.

We stayed here for one week . When we arrived to the room we noticed there were no tissues. The website said there would be a blow dryer and a coffee maker in the room. Our room didn't have either. Since we got in late we just went to bed. In the morning we called the desk for a blow dryer and tissues. We assumed we would have to get coffee in the breakfast room on the first floor. Housekeeping brought us a blow dryer and a roll of toilet paper for tissues since the hotel didn't have any more tissues. We noticed a sewage odor in the room. We called the desk. They said they'd have maintenance look at it We ran a few errands and thankfully the odor was gone when we returned. The pool is in a great location, right on the harbor but all the furniture was rusted and/or ripped. They are very stingy with their towels! One day I put the towels that we had used for a couple days outside the room to be replaced with clean towels. When we returned from the beach the dirty towels were gone but there weren't any clean towels in the room. I went back down to the desk to ask for towels and the receptionist rolled her eyes and said she would call housekeeping. Thirty minutes later still no towels. Housekeeping didn't answer so I called the desk. She didn't seem to think it was a big deal that I had been waiting 30 minutes for a towel and said "oh, they just delivered towels to the desk, you can come down and get them." So..... I went back to the desk to get the towels, it was pure chaos at the desk. I had to wait in line another 15-20 minutes for the towels. The room locks and keys were hit or miss, The last day of our stay none of the 3 room keys we had would work. They had to make us new keys. This hotel is in need of updates, and a good cleaning! The carpeting in the room was stained. There were cobwebs above the curtains and throughout the corridors. The staff members weren't very friendly or helpful. The location is great, but I don't think I would stay here again !

This place was gross. The a/c unit smells like mold. The shower leaks. The walls are thin, but you can't use the ac to drown out hallway or outside noise dye to the smell. There were ants in our bed one night, we didn't have food in the room. The hall to our room smelled musty as well. Never again.

This room is totally out of touch. For the $200 a night it is a terrible mistake. See photos attached. You can smell Woodstock up in this joint. I’ve seen better toilet seats on Navy ships. Dang this place is outdated as hell did I mentioned see attached photos.
