Hmmmmm. A difficult one this. The resort was lovely and the service and people also terrific. But…… the cost was very significant and so my review reflects that. For the price I paid, my expectations are high. With that: the rooms were pretty small for 3.5k for the week and our first room was directly underneath the restaurant so all we heard at meal times was scraping of chairs. But to be fair they did move us (fortunately they had the availability otherwise that would have been upsetting….). The private beach was nice although access in and out was a little difficult with the submerged rocks but minor point. The gym was really poor though. One multi gym unit (bench, lat pull down etc) but it was broken. There’s no excuse for that I’m afraid. Limited dining options with the one restaurant. The resort is quite secluded but arranging transport with taxis is a challenge. The location suffers too cos there’s not much around and the local area has three restaurants which were good but again very expensive cos it’s a captive audience and this is not a knock on the hotel but emphasizes the need for easy taxis (there is a bus service to be fair) and a decent gym. The golf course is only 9 holes and mostly par 3s but still very nice but again….very expensive. 60 euros for a green fee and that’s with the hotel discount. But look, it was still a very nice spot and the staff were truly wonderful but the price paid was way off what I was hoping to get in terms of facilities and rooms and overall experience. Sorry.

We stayed 10 nights at the end of September and beginning of October 2023. This is the second year in a row that we come to the five stars Due Lune hotel. We usually prefer to change place at each vacation in order to explore new spots; this time however we wanted to come back because the place is special. Five stars for us means the hotel is one of few places in our personal short list that we want to visit again. Several things make the place out of the ordinary: the harmony of the gently descending grassy slope opening on the secluded beach, the airy patio where one easily forgets time while contemplating the vista, the looming presence of the Tavolara island in the horizon, the architectural design of the hotel, the general kind and relaxing atmosphere, and last but not least the gentle, professional and attentionate management and staff. On the practical side, the hotel is very comfortable, well located in the San Teodoro area. It is a very good place to go around to nearby beaches and villages. The hotel beach itself is very nice, very relaxing, as well as a good departure point for longer swims. For sure we would like to visit the Due Lune again. (We also wrote an opinion on the Due Lune in October 2022 that still holds.)

very friendly and professional . you will be welcomed in a “family style” hotel. If you are looking for a quiet charming place , including golf , pool and beach (small) with good service go for it. Marco -chief of the bar - and all the personnel coached by a very friendly director made my stay enjoyable !

The location if this hotel is beautiful, very pretty with the gorgeous golf course , landscaping and coastal views. The food and drinks in the hotel are very expensive and they do not even provide a fresh water source. You will receive a bottle of fresh water on arrival and you’ll be charged for water for the duration of your stay. The bar staff in the hotel are wonderful, However we were not impressed by the breakfast /restaurant staff or food. We ordered food at The beach bar and realised why it was empty.. We were attacked by lots of wasps which completely ruined our lunch. On departure the hotel refunded this meal after we complained. Our bathroom had just been plastered.. whilst tidy the walls needed painting to finish off. We paid for a junior suite so expected this room to be immaculate. It was not. For us it needs much improvement to give the customer the 5* service it claims to deliver. Our advise is eat lunch & dinner in the marina .. The food there is excellent and much better value.

The hotel looks beautiful, and it is indeed beautiful. The staff, service, and treatment is some of the worst I’ve received in any of my travels. We came for our honeymoon and couldn’t leave fast enough. First, the bed and breakfast rate only includes toast and coffee/juice. When I requested room service and opted to pay 14€ for some eggs and 11€ for fruit with a delivery between 9 and 9:30, we were awoken at 8 with only toast. The staff was constantly knocking on the door while we were trying to finish our breakfast to the point it was intrusive. We did not eat dinner at the hotel because of how we were treated by unfriendly staff — we walked to the marina and chose to eat there — this was the only time we were made to feel special — our honeymoon was celebrated by the restaurant with two special drinks which were very appreciated! I then tried to surprise my husband with reservations in town and we were told sorry, we can’t get you a taxi. When we inquired about renting a car, the hotel said they would look into it, but never got back to us. All the chairs at the beach were constantly reserved but empty — we were asked to move numerous times because chairs were reserved, yet they were empty all day — so we opted to walk to La Cinta and go to the beach there instead — the water is much nicer there. We signed up to play 9 holes on our last day, only to be shoved in a line with 7 other golfers — we only ended up playing a few holes and left early because it was taking so long — then we were scolded for only paying 1 greens fee when there were two of us (they never asked us how many golfers) which we were more than happy to pay even though we only played a few holes. I have no idea how this hotel is rated a 5-star hotel — there is nothing about this hotel other than the view that is worth that rating. The staff is terrible and has absolutely no idea how to make anyone feel welcome. I would never ever stay here again — we couldn’t leave fast enough.
