The food, location and hospitality were all delightful. I wish we could have stayed longer in this beautiful setting that was close to several sites we visited. I will also long remember the kind accommodations made to provide me a delicious gluten free dinner with very little notice. It was not expected and one of my favorite dinners during our trip.

Every now and then one comes across a gem that just gets it right from the warm welcome to the ‘goodbye do come again’ and everything in between. An oasis of tranquility and rustic charm combined with modern touches such as the fabulous pool. We stayed in ‘Coco’ room which was previously a stable for donkeys and calves in the late 18th century. Loved it, so comfortable. Another big plus is it’s dog friendly 🐾 and you will be greeted by the lovely Pato. To sum up; the staff are attentive and clearly love what they do, the food was delicious and the garden beautiful and this coupled with the attention to detail is why I’d happily give it 10/10 and hope to return for a longer stay one day.

Our 3 nights at Masseria Bannata was the highlight our month-long trip in Sicily: a truly memorable and unique experience. The SETTING: beautiful and extensive orchards and farmland plus beautiful gardens surrounded by ancient stone walls. Our ROOM--which included a former donkey stable and shepherds' kitchen--was delightful AND comfortable--that's rare! We enjoyed our afternoon spritz on our private patio or at one of the several hidden garden nooks. We had fun exploring and reading in the historic common areas. And, yes, the pool is as inviting as it appears in the photos, especially after a morning of exploring Villa Romana or Morgantina. FOOD: in addition to our wonderful breakfasts, we ate all our dinners at the masseria: each an inspired meal with a greatly appreciated focus on local and organic products. An excellent wine list and all a great value. The PEOPLE: above all, we will always remember the kindness of Nieta, the proprietress, and Carlo who shared stories of the masseria and helped us navigate the surrounding region. Grazie a tutti.

Of all our 6 hotels we stayed in Sicily this was the most expensive and the poorest. There was only two ( perhaps Phillipino?) men, who did maintenance, cleaning and breakfast . They tried their best and were friendly. But they are not capable to run a hotel. The breakfast was mean and the rolls / bread were stale. Coffee was cold and left over from earlier diners. Our room had no window and the door, if left open, was directly open to a guest path. We were moved to another room but I don't think a windowless bedroom be offered. We did see two Italian ladies for about 2 hours on our 2 night stay. They do not live on site. They did reduce our bill by 5 Eu a breakfast ,that's not much as each night was £ 120 EU. Also the swimming pool was not in operation , snack bar closed ,and no chairs out by the pool which would have been pleasant. Even the brochures in the lounge stable conversion were 3 years out of date.!

Great experience! We had three fantastic days at this gem. The best start to our vacation. Such a peaceful environment, with staff and family who guided and took care of us impeccably. I’m so glad we found this stay, we loved the food and atmosphere.

What a fabulous place! A very historic house sympathetically restored and furnished. Comfortable, clean, fabulous food and the amazing hospitality of lovely Carlo made it a place we would not hesitate to recommend. The pool was so lovely as were the peaceful gardens. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.

Agriturismo Bambara was the perfect little oasis during our tour of Sicily, a stop sandwiched between busy city visits to Catania and Palermo. The scenery is breathtaking, and the rooms are nicely updated yet still quaint. If you want the experience of an elevated home cooked meal, I recommend the nightly farm to table dinner. My husband who grew up on Sicilian cooking from his own Noni said he felt right at home. We also had the luxury of in room massages. Expect an opportunity to slow down and be mindful if you come here.

This is a unique place with special atmosphere. You feel like home. Food is amazing and the rooms are so nicely decorated. The host, Mrs Ninetta a very elegant and beautiful lady with so much to give and tell. Staff is outstanding. A must visit place.
