What an amazing place to call this place our temporary home away from home. We intended to stay for 3 days to try out if the distance worth the driving. It turned out when you feel home, distance doesn't really matter any more. We ended ip staying for 11 days. We had a nice spacious apartment beautifully revived while retaining all the original charms and details. All rooms are well ventilated, breezy and bright. And the owner, Madame Cecilia. What an incredible human being you are. Simply put we love you! Thank you so much for everything and for making a memorable birthday experience for my children. After we checked out, the boys referred you as their grandma from Proceno. There was not one thing that we needed that was not made available to us. We will be back! We miss you, we miss our apartment autunno, and we miss our breakfast and dinner time.

We stayed here based on a recommendation from a friend and found it to be delightful! Our room was large, comfortable and had an incredible view. Dinner was excellent and breakfast bountiful. Pucci (owner) is a gem and even gave us a tour of the castle before we departed. Great Italian hospitality at its finest!

This place is a total gem. The castle has been in the owner’s family since the 16th century and the history is fascinating. Everything about this place is wonderful- the views, the food at the restaurant (where the owner and her husband also eat their dinner between checking food orders and flambé- ing the crème brûlée) and the personal tour of the castle tower. This was certainly one of our highlights walking the Via Francigena and we hope to be back someday.

Castillo Di Proceno is in an old castle, about a two hour drive south of Florence. Proceno is a quiet and tranquil town. The hotel has rooms and apartments available and boasts a Michelin restaurant, Enoteca. We were two couples and really enjoyed our 3 nights stay there, in a two bedroom, two bathrooms apartment, with a fireplace in the spacious living-dining room and a small kitchenette and a private patio. It was beautifully decorated, and the views were incredible. There was a walk up a winding flight of flagstone stairs, but we felt this added to the ambiance and charm. The hotel also has meeting rooms and an outdoor restaurant and pool in the summer.

Siamo stati al Cstello di Proceno dal 2 al 4 maggio, in 39 tra parenti e amici strettissimi, per festeggiare il matrimonio di nostro figlio Leonardo con Bilkiss celebratosi in Francia acuni giorni prima. Le camere sono ampie, di grande fascino con il loro arredamento un po' retrò, ma tutte attrezzate con cucina completa e camino utilizzabile. Abbiamo dormito benissimo e ci si sveglia al canto degli uccelli. Un grande ringraziamento, che viene dal cuore, alla contessa Cecilia e al suo simpatico staff che hanno organizzato con grazia e professionalità il nostro soggiorno e il ricevimento. Cibo ottimo in un’atmosfera serena e un po’ magica, panorami incantati in un luogo che ci porta indietro nella storia, salvaguardato, amato e valorizzato dalla indomabile proprietaria. Da non perdere l'interessantissima visita guidata dalla stessa proprietaria alla torre museo del X secolo che permette anche di godere dei magnifici panorami da una posizione privilegiata. Provare per credere!

atmosfera incredibile siamo immersi in un castello medievale bellissimo. i proprietari molto gentili ci accolgono in stanze uniche in tutto e per tutto. c'è la piscina, la WiFi ma manca la tv. la cabina doccia sarebbe da sostituire mentre la colazione è un po' scarsa. prezzi alti pernottamento minimo due notti.
