Klara Hotel has a great location in a quiet street in the Holosevice district of Prague, only a fifteen minute tram ride into the center of Prague. The hotel is located in a beautiful older building and could have been more clearly signposted, but we quickly found the reception, which is located on the lower floor of the building. The employee who checked us in appeared pleasant, if somewhat reserved. She briefly informed about the times of the breakfast and how we could enter the building when the reception was closed. The employee at check-out was also cheerful, but somewhat reserved. The guest room was large, but appeared somewhat worn and old-fashioned. In addition to a double bed and a single bed, there was a desk and a wardrobe. There was no minibar, fridge or air conditioning. However, there was a table fan to circulate the air somewhat. The mattress in the bed was somewhat worn and could have benefited from being replaced. However, the bed linen was clean and in good condition. The cleanliness was generally good, which also applied to the bathroom. The bathroom was otherwise simply furnished with a toilet, shower and sink, as well as soap and clean towels. There was a well-functioning free wireless network throughout the hotel. Breakfast was served as a buffet in the hotel's basement and had a selection of both cold and hot dishes, sweets, coffee, tea and juice. The products that were served appeared to be fresh and of good quality. In particular, it must be emphasized that the scrambled eggs seemed to be made of eggs and not powder as is the case at many other hotels. I would happily visit the hotel again and can recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and affordable stay a short tram ride from the city centre.

Bij aankomst vriendelijk ontvangen door een jonge man. We verbleven 5 dagen. Hij gaf gelijk bij inchecken aan dat als we in euro’s contant betalen we korting krijgen. We moesten betalen bij uitcheck dus konden we nog over nadenken. De kamer was enorm warm en een beetje stoffig. De kamer was ook erg klein maar verder prima. Het ontbijt was enorm teleurstellend. Het is een ontbijt waar niet naar omgekeken wordt en dus wordt neer gezet en wordt opgeruimd. Wat inhoudt dat veel op was en niet gekoeld de vleeswaren en yoghurtjes waren dan ook lauw. In de kamer hing een plaatje dat je je handdoeken op de grond moest leggen als je nieuwe wilde. De eerste dag zijn ze opgehaald maar hebben we geen nieuwe gekregen en de receptie was dicht toen we om nieuwe wilde vragen? Volgende dag gelijk aangegeven en gevraagd om nieuwe handdoeken heeft ruim 1 uur geduurd voordat we nieuwe handdoeken kregen. Zelfde geldt voor dag 3 ook toen meerdere malen moeten vragen om handdoeken om ze vervolgens ruw in je handen gedrukt te krijgen. Ook de kamer schoonmaken deden ze niet De dag voor uitchecken gevraagd hoe het zat met de betaling. Als we met pin betaalde was het ongeveer 20 euro duurder dan de geboekte prijs. Als we in kronen contant betaalde was het ongeveer 15 euro duurder dan de geboekte prijs en als we contant betaalde in euro’s was het 17 euro goedkoper dan de geboekte prijs…. Uhm wat is hier aan de hand? Sorry maar dit gaat mij te ver. Vind niet dat je verschillende betaal mogelijkheden duurder mag weg zetten helemaal omdat je een prijs vooraf hebt afgesproken en er duidelijk stond dat het inclusief belastingen en service was. Dit stond ook nergens aangegeven niet bij boeken en niet bij het hotel het werd alleen mondeling vertelt? De locatie was verder prima

Hotel vieillot mais bien situé, quartier calme, proche du centre, et du métro, chambre petite mais bien équipée, ascenseur, salle de bain correcte, propre, bon rapport qualité-prix, petit déjeuner compris. Personnel de l'accueil serviable.
