We have stayed here before. Retuned this year and everything was as before. Excellent! Friendly helpful staff! Clean, & comfortable, food excellent.would have no problem recommending. Offers good value for money by London standards. Restaurants and shops close by.

We’ve stayed here a few times and always happy to come back. Paul and his team do a great job. Always friendly and helpful. Our room was a great size with a very comfy king bed and AC. Usual tea and coffee tray. We didn’t eat in the hotel - just drinks and coffees. Would recommend.

Great hotel with a fabulous outlook, spent two nights there and would go back. Beautiful village feel, just peaceful. Had a meal at the hotel, great value and thoroughly enjoyable, breakfast was not included but from several choices there was something for everyone.

Very pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel/pub was. Great value for money and the food was out of this world. Staff were very friendly and helpful and explained everything well. Bath in room one was amazing and bed was lovely and large but also very comfortable.

We stayed in Room no 2, which was on the side. The room was a decent size with a huge, comfortable bed, tea/coffee maker & all facilities you would expect. The shower was large & nice toiletries. The room is starting to look tired in places and could do with a freshen up but no major complaints Breakfast was a choice from the menu, freshly cooked & tasty The staff were helpful & friendly & lent me a charger (thank you!) All-in-all a nice place to stay for the night of a wedding at London Shenley club

I have stayed here for 4 nights. Very authentic place to stay - the hotel and the town as well. Friendly team. Good and tasty breakfasts. Nice bar .

We have stayed a few times at the Red Lion as it is extremely handy when visiting nearby family. I have always found it clean and the bedrooms all though on the small side are comfortable. This time was no different except there has been a change in management and you can tell the difference straight away. Friendly and assessable and very helpful. The new manager Dan was friendly and efficient and I wish him well in the future.

A busy pub with a few rooms. Ours was big but had completely frosted windows I guess to hide the view over roof plant. Plus an emergency exit door with an annoying green light above it on all night. Super comfy bed though and a smart bathroom, albeit the shower drain plumbing backed up a bit - reminding us it’s an old building. Furnishings are generic chain hotel which don’t really suit the room. It would benefit from a refresh. Friendly service but it’s definitely first and foremost a pub

The position of the hotel and the staff were very good. The breakfast was also satisfactory. However, the rooms are tired and old requiring significant maintence. The air conditioning was unable to adequately heat the room and the lighting was very poor. Public areas are threadbare and the toilets cleanliness not upto any reasonable standard.
