Front desk was not hospitable during check-in. They gave me a lumpy bed with wrinkled sheets that looked like a 6- year- old made the bed. Balcony had no table. (Put your food on the ground). Balcony rails were bulky and white (hard to see any view through) After midnight when I got in bed the SHEETS were wet. I called front desk and complained. They cut me off and brought me new sheets and RUDELY told me I need to change out the sheets myself. I changed sheets and I went to sleep. I left the wet comforter on the floor since they didn't bring me a new one. I woke up hours later to wet sheets AGAIN....now the bed was wet, my hair wet. ALL my belongings damp or wet. I had to get on the floor bc of the damp mattress. Apparently the AC was putting out too much humidity. I went down and complained to the front desk. They apologized and told me to request a refund from trip.com since that's who I booked with. I asked did they note my issue in the system. Dude said YES. I immediately filed complaint with Trip.com and Double Tree said they won't give me a refund because I didn't complain to the hotel. LIES! I spoke to the front desk TWICE about the wet issue. NEVER AGAIN. Their bay beach is brown, nasty and full of jelly fish lined all down the shore. I saw over 40 jellyfish one morning. No joke. I'm told that's where they hatch. It's not a real beach. It's the bay. Go to Padre Island a few miles away with clear beaches (whitecap Beach is the best) or Emerald Beach Resort a few miles away with indoor pool and more of a family feel. I'm done with DoubleTree after they lied saying I never complained about my room.

We popped into the bar on Saturday night for a pre dinner drink. Sat at the bar IN FROnT of the bar tender for 15 minutes. Not exaggerating. He helped all the people at the other end. Chatted with the couple beside us and walked away. Not so much as a I’ll be right with you. Got up and walked out

The stay was amazing but Housekeeping was Just terrible Stayed for 2 nights and came back to everything was still the same as I left it no clean towels no new sheets and room service trays and trash cans full I’m not sure when they clean and this room was for 4 people my self and my family

Beachfront, large clean rooms. Restaurant was good, if you have dietary restrictions you will have to drive to eat. Walking distance to local attractions:). Will stay here again.

The hotel was in fine condition and clean. Staff was friendly. Got a free cookie that was tasty :) Easy access to the north beach. Not clear on how to get back southbound because of construction. Surrounding area isn’t great - lack of restaurants, etc. You do have to pay for parking which I wasn’t expecting. The hotel and room really wasn’t worth the value. But nothing was wrong with the hotel itself

Everything was great. Have stayed a few times before in the past. My only reason for the 4 stars is the unexpected cost of having to pay for parking now.

My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Doubletree. Easy access to the beach and the food was very good.

Booked beach view room and they gave me a partial view room only, left my sunglasses at the room and called just for the to say no one turned anything in. Also they never return your $50 deposit. Hotel is still the shadow of the old radisson with hilton paint over it, but is not a true hilton hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay at the omni.

It was great...but I reserved an beach view room and I recieved a view on the side, but it was good anyways.
