Isla Bank House

Nick and Vena are exceptional hosts. Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a lovely home prepared dinner at the B&B which is not typical at places like this; they even went so far as to make a specially requested haggis on our second night there complete with the proper trimmings for a birthday celebration. Their beer,wine and whiskey selection are a perfect compliment to the excellent food. Cooked to order breakfast is included in the room rate and you will not leave hungry. Our room was perfectly appointed with robes, extra blankets, feather pillows, very comfortable bed, easily accessible power next to the bed, kettle for hot water with tea and coffee and the best part of all a dram of welcome single malt scotch from a local distillery. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Isla Bank House and already thinking about another visit in the near future.

A place not to be missed. The house and grounds are beautiful. Vena and Nick are wonderful people that operate an amazing establishment. We stayed in The Tower Suite which was beautiful. Great attention to detail. I would highly recommend booking dinner there as it was the best meal we had in Scotland and one of the best meals of our lives. Highly recommend getting dessert too, the rhubarb crumble was unbelievable. An absolutely wonderful atmosphere. Would go out of our way to stay there again.

The B&B is in an amazing historic home lovingly renovated by the current owners over many years. The overall house and all rooms have a delightful character reflecting a level of elegance that is hard to find these days. The hosts provided superb hospitality from the greeting at the door, and then throughout the stay. We highly recommend booking to have dinner at the B&B, as the dining room setting is delightful and the home cooked food is superb. Breakfast is also first class. The location in the pretty town of Keith makes it an excellent centre for visiting distilleries and castles in the region.

Gorgeous house with comfortable rooms and beautiful views. The food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast, and the curated whisky selection (and knowledge thereof) was wonderful. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a gorgeous and well maintained older house with gracious hosts. The only note is that it's recommended you bring your own toiletries (including shampoo/conditioner). While the hosts had certainly offered to provide any toiletries we were missing we had assumed this was in addition to the normal amenities provided. Fortunately we had brought our own on this trip.

Comfiest bed of my life and the hosts were absolutely lovely. They’ve clearly put a ton of thought and care into everything from the decor to the glassware and food choices and it shows. Could not recommend enough!

This was our last stop in Scotland. While there was a snafu with our booking between the agent and the B&B, they rolled with the punches and because they had space they accommodated us. The rooms were beautifully restored and cozy. Breakfast ordering was a unique process and the food delightful. Don’t miss out on the B&B and their beautiful grounds.
