What an amazing hotel for families! We travelled with 3&6 year old. It’s geared towards families I would not recommend if you’re travelling without kids. It is chaotic and busy at all times, which is fine if you’re with kids but if I had travelled here before kids I would have hated it. There is a constant chorus of screaming crying and tantrums which in the buffet was really overstimulating! But I won’t mark the hotel down for this as this is out of their control but people should bear this in mind when booking. There is a small adults only area. The service was brilliant, staff could not do enough for us. They were really good with the kids. The hotel did enforce and stop people reserving loungers which was absolutely amazing. We never had an issue getting a lounger and the lifeguards actively cleared beds which had been reserved and not used for over 40mins. A child vomitted in the pool and unfortunately the parents didn’t tell anyone which resulted in the issue being reported later by another parent so the pool had to be closed and cleaned. I was impressed with how seriously they took infection prevention. The room was clean and spacious and had all the amenities. The housekeeping service was superb and our room was always spotless. The a la carte restaurants were really good! Unfortunately we couldn’t get bookings for the Italian but the sushi and Mediterranean ones were superb. The buffet breakfast and evening meal was good but it was let down by the chaos for us. The location was great a very short walk to supermarkets and the port for lots of great restaurants.

Excellent airport transfer and check-in. There were 9 of us, booking 4 rooms. 5006, 5007, 5008, 5009. We had come last year and requested the same rooms we had last year. We were told this was very possible but never materialised. Although the rooms we were allocated were good they were not the same size as last years which was disappointing. The other very irritating thing was we had paid for rooms with swim up pools which we thought were predominantly for our room, however this was not the case as we had many families from other non swim up rooms with screaming, uncontrolled kids and noisy babies ruining our peace. Cleanliness in rooms, bars, restaurants etc. was excellent. All staff were excellent, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Pools were great and kids areas good. Entertainment was very, very poor and amateurish. For the amount we had paid we expected a higher standard of entertainment. Food, overall was good but lacked a regular choice of fresh vegetables. There were no microwaves available to heat food which most off the time was only warm. Not once did I see any HACCP procedures being undertaken, however this may have taken place. We enjoyed the holiday, the weather and climate was great but thought this was not good value for money compared to other hotels we have frequented over the past.

Hotel is stunning, lots of amenities, food is incredible (even the buffet, which is rare) and the service is amazing. The staff are a real credit to the hotel and are absolutely fantastic. The pools are great and there is a stunning beach nearby. One small issue at departure, but the hotel team stepped up and put it right immediately. This kind of hospitality is rare these days but they’ve won a loyal customer today. Will be recommending the hotel to all and looking forward to a return stay. Thank you!

This is the second time we have stayed here - once again, hotel facilities were excellent and really clean. The restaurants are first class, including the buffet, where there are always freshly cooked options alongside the more traditional self service selections. If you don 't want to be surrounded by kids, go elsewhere - this is a family hotel first and foremost, although the adult only pool and sun area is a real escape. We will be back next year.

This is our second visit to the Zafiro Palace and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted on our arrival with complimentary drinks (a nice touch) and the bottle of wine in our room was much appreciated. All of the staff here work extremely hard indeed and are, at all times, polite, efficient and very friendly. The buffet restaurant is absolutely fantastic with endless choices, I fear I have probably gained weight but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Also the Veranda Grill was excellent, food lovely, always fresh and well presented by the waiters who made us feel very welcome. The pool area is clean and we were always able to find sunbeds with not too much problem. Evening entertainment is low key but very relaxing and the waiters make sure your glass is never empty. I don’t understand people moaning about the presence of children here. Zafiro Palace is clearly advertised as a family hotel, go adults only if it doesn’t suit you. We had a lovely, two bedroomed ground floor family suite, enabling our adult autistic son some privacy. We were very happy with the daily cleaning service. We cannot fault this hotel and would highly recommend. Many thanks.

I say family but my son and mate are 19 and we booked this hotel as it was 5 star close to the centre. It is hell. It’s like a convention of feral kids with pykey parents. The entertainment makes you long for the high brow debate of Mr Tumble. There is no adults only sanctuary. If you want a holiday in an expensive soft play centre it’s just the job but otherwise keep away
