It does not get better in Port Blair : perfect location atop a small hillock overlooking the sea and the ferries , clean and peaceful neighbourhood as it is in the army and VIP area , ample parking and landscaping , good food in the restaurant . The rooms are spacious and airy with AC . The standard rooms have no view but all deluxe rooms have sea view . Having candle light dinner and few drinks in the sea facing open restaurant lawn with the sea breaze in the night is a life time experience that we shall always remember fondly . The bar is well stocked . They provide room service . The reception staff will help you to get transport for the city tour , jetty or the airport . Worth visiting again .

I rated this excellent because of the view. Located on a cliff, it provides unmediated views of the Indian Ocean from the sea facing rooms. If you booking here, make sure you take sea facing cottages only, else it doesnt make sense. The resort is Govt. owned (tourism dept.) and has a bar on its premise. It serves awesome cocktails - a must try if booking here. The breakfast spread is quite simple. The staff is amazing - polite, helpful, cordial and always have a smile on their face. The rooms with balconies are the best ones to book. Absolutely loved this property because of the views and the service.

Megapod Resort in Port Blair is an absolute disgrace! Don't be fooled by the scenic view; this place is a nightmare. The buffet? Disgusting. The maintenance? Non-existent. Everywhere you look, there's dust, dirt, and mold creeping in. And the bed sheets and pillows? Stained beyond belief. After enduring just 30 minutes of this horror show, we had to bail. But did they care? Nope. They shoved us into another room with a broken AC and no power backup, leaving us sweltering in the heat most of the time. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they had the nerve to charge us extra for breakfast, even though it was included in the package. To top it all off, they refused to refund us because we booked through Agoda. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy throwing your money away on misery.
