아그리투리스모 라 폰테(Agriturismo la Fonte)

We had a very pleasant stay with our two young kids. Marco and Paolo were great hosts and we loved the dinner the first night. The appartement had everything we needed and the kids loved playing outside. We would love to come back!

A perfect escape in Umbria. Set right in the countryside, but only 20 mins drive from the old town of Perugia. Marco and Paola were so welcoming and such an interesting couple. The place is fantastic - great accommodation, private terrace, really gorgeous swimming pool and wonderful views. Waking up to a view over the olive groves has to be one of the nicest breakfast experiences I've ever had. It's a very relaxed vibe and it would be a great place to get married or have a big family holiday. We will definitely be going back.

We first visited La Fonte when our oldest daughter was 18 months old. She's now nearly ten and it's only Covid that has prevented us from going back to La Fonte every year since. It really is the closest to heaven that we've found on earth. The location is utterly idyllic - peaceful olive groves, gorgeous distant vistas over the valley and then, for all of its seemingly glorious isolation, Perugia and its countless attractions only 20 minutes away. The accommodation is wonderfully cosy without being pretentious or fussy. The immaculate pool is the perfect place to cool off during the hotter days. The fauna and flora are endlessly varied, and the cats, dogs and horses that live at La Fonte one of the greatest attractions for our kids. And, best of all, the warm, welcoming and truly genuine company of Paola, Marco and their lovely family. They are always there to answer questions and provide tips and suggestions, but never in the way when guests are looking for quiet times - the perfect blend of companionship and autonomy. After the best part of a decade, Paola and Marco feel like a second family and La Fonte like a second home - we can't wait to get back there!

La Fonte was the perfect place for our first holiday with our baby - a really relaxing setting with a great pool just a few metres from our apartment. We loved reading with a glass of wine and a view of the olive groves, forest and castle above, then when nap time was over, playing with our daughter on the swing, going for a walk around the lake or through the forest, showing her the goats and friendly dogs, and taking her for a dip in the pool. Marco and Paola were excellent hosts - we knew we had come to the right place when we found our kitchen stocked with local wine, cheese, sausage, bread, eggs, honey, and a homemade cake and olive oil. Paola also cooked for us two nights - a huge feast brought to our table outside the apartment. This is a great place to visit if you want a break from self-catering and want to try some authentic food without having to leave your accomodation. Foodie paradise. Marco and Paola also showed us great kindness when our daughter was ill and helped us speak to a doctor. They were so friendly and helpful. The nicest people in the nicest place. We love this place so much, this was our 3rd summer holiday here and we will be back! It is perfect as a quiet, relaxing holiday with babies/toddlers (as our first trip was) and with friends (as our next 2 trips were). I recommend this place for every reason; the views are magical, the pool is calm and warm (salt water), marco and paola are wonderful hosts, there are animals, walks, great food … the list goes on. The apartments are comfortable and stylish. It is off the beaten track and well worth it. Our kids particularly loved exploring the farm on their own, finding friendly dogs to pat and spending afternoons cooking with paola while we adults sat on the terrace with aperitivo and waited for our surprise dinners. The perfect summer holiday.

When we went for a short holiday , we decided to make our wedding here right away which is surely part of heaven! It was even more beautiful than what we dreamed! Not only us but also guests had big fun and they admired , kept asking how we found this beautiful place! Since we are based in different country (Malta) , we did not have any contact for wedding staffs such as catering , florist etc. But owners helped us for everything in fact we left everything to their hands we couldn’t choose better! They are now our part of family and we miss them every single day! If you looking for a dream wedding , i would say best place and best people ever! Their over friendly dogs were our bridesmaids and best men! Almost one year passed and every guests still talking about our wedding that it was best wedding ever !

We loved our weeklong stay at Marco and Paola's near Perugia, Umbria. The views are stunning; the pool is perfect for keeping cool during a very hot summer in Italy; and Marco/Paola are genuinely kind, thoughtful hosts who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We stayed in two of the beautiful units and enjoyed waking up to cool, fresh mornings and enjoying coffee and breakfast on the terrace, or walking down to Paola's amazing garden. Within an hour's drive, there are many must-see cities boasting 2000+ years of history. (TIP: driving into these old cities is easier in a smaller car!) For people who don't know Umbria - it's like Tuscany but less expensive, less crowded, and easier to connect with Italian culture and history. We would love to return in the fall when Marco is harvesting grapes!

La Fonte never fails. This year was our 4th visit, and another superb stay. Marco, Paola and their children are fantastic hosts and always ready to help with anything you might need, or make suggestion for places to visit. The place itself is just stunning from every point of you, the rolling green hills so relaxing to look at especially with an aperitivo in my hands! Every comfort for you is available, from WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, and should you need anything, all you need is ask. We wouldn’t hesitate to go again, what a gem in the Umbrian countryside.
