One of the best places we have ever stayed. We loved it so much we extended our stay for an extra day. We just didn't want to leave. We are a family travelling with small children and the Resort was very kid friendly. We were greeted with the incredible staff and management upon arrival with a platter of beautiful fruits and yummy hibiscus juice, while they checked us in. Then we were kindly escorted to our room which was the ocean front villa. The room was huge with one large bed and two smaller beds which was perfect for our small children. The room also offered great outdoor seating and additional lounge chairs which were great for the private pool. It also had a hammock which is always one of my favourite places to chill so great plus. The amenities at the property felt endless. There is an awesome gym, yoga, spa(which a complimentary massage is offered with stay), free access to paddle boards and kayak, multiple swimming pools(one with a swim up bar). This All-inclusive also offers premium drinks which is a nice upgrade with high quality spirits to choose from. The food was top notch definitely the quality of a 5 star restaurant in the states. The attention to detail and presentation in each plate was above and beyond. As someone who worked and managed in the restaurant/service industry for over 20 years at some very high end restaurants I can tend to have very high expectations when it comes to the food. Tulia's head chef was exceptional and my expectations where more then exceeded. The food was actually one of my favourite parts of our stay I was just always excited to see what they were going to create with each new dish. Our family would highly recommend staying here!!!!

As unique as its name states We had a great family stay at Tulia, with my wife and 17 year old daughter! We had booked a sea front villa that offers an incredible view on the changing tides and their kaleidoscope of colours. One of the biggest perk of Tulia is the quality of food that is offered in the gourmet dinner menu with a choice of 2 appetisers and mains. They are always keen to adapt a dish to your liking and catered perfectly to my gluten intolerance. The main asset of this resort is its incredibly friendly, smily and helpful staff. They really make you feel at home and are always keen to do the maximum for you to have a great time ! They even participate to the dinner entertainment that changes daily, and you can join them, if you wish to, to practice your African dancing moves. I would recommend the all inclusive package that really includes everything with no restrictions on the drinks and food you may want to have., only if you plan your spend most of your time in the hotel as priced 145 $ per person. Obviously the experience comes with a quite high price tag, may be a too high one if I compare with other luxury resorts I visited in the Indian Ocean and in Asia. The only major faux-pas was wanting to charge us 85$ for the last lunch, after checking out, as we did not really used all our all inclusive perks and had paid over 6000 $ for the 4 nights stay there… Not the brightest commercial attitude… We finally did not pay thanks to the payment terminal being down… You also don’t charge for a teenage girl the same all inclusive supplement (145$) as for adults. She obviously did not cost them much on alcoholic drinks. Greed often kills even the best businesses…

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tulia for 5 days. We wished it could have been longer. We were very impressed with the incredibly well manicured grounds and the professionalism of the entire staff. The food was fresh (from the onsite farm!) and abundant. Our room was huge and spotless. If we ever go back to Zanzibar we will surely stay at Tulia again!

Tulia is a special place. It’s a really inclusive result that celebrates all people and culture. The staff are happy and well taken care of. Everyone is pleasant. Food is incredible! Service - impeccable. We hated to leave. Do not hesitate!
