We had heard so much about this place from our friends but even then the reality exceeded our expectations. Everything from the staff, to the food, to the drives out is exceptional. You really are treated like royalty and made to feel like specials guests. The staff even provided for our dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble from them. No one goes hungry here - the food is abundant and delicious. Our ranger Kyle and tracker Zakele were excellent and great company as well as knowledgeable. Many guests return here and I can understand why. We certainly shall be back!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The rooms and main lodge are beautifully designed. It's comfortable, and there is air conditioning for the very hot days. The service was absolutely impeccable. I have stayed at some 5-star luxury resorts that could learn a thing or two from Amakhosi! Our every need was considered and catered to. They don’t lie when they say they will treat you like royalty! Manager, Sonya, was also present and lovely to speak to. As for the game drives, Phillip & Jeremy were very knowledgeable and professional. They made sure we were safe and saw everything we wanted to. After each game drive you are welcomed back with hand towels and a refreshing drink. The food was so much better than anything we could have imagined for an all-inclusive. It was like eating at a high-end restaurant for every meal. Food is abundant with 6 meals a day, so prepare to be bloated! Our host, Emma, was warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. She made us feel so comfortable from the get-go. Thank you Amakhosi team for the most incredible stay!

Amakhosi is the most beautiful place I have to. Everything was perpect, the house, the friendly people working there, and the delucious food! The Safari games was always a new adventure! I deeply reccomend Amakhosi Lodge, and I rally hope to come back.

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, we were treated as family. The rooms were beautiful and I was not expecting the quality of food that was presented. Dinner was romantic and presented like a gourmet restaurant. Our guides Reuben and Mandla were professional and clearly cared for the animals and their environment. We saw 4 of the big 5 on our first drive! I felt safe at all times. And can we talk about the hot water bottles and blankets to keep us warm? Heaven at 6 am! I went to the spa twice and that was amazing as well. Thank you for the memories.

Cannot recommend this lodge highly enough! The occasion was a deferred low key celebration of my 60th birthday. Our family (husband, adult son and myself) visited the lodge for 2 night this week. We have been lucky enough to experience the hospitality at some high end game lodges in the past few years, but Amakhosi blew our socks off! Sonja and her tea, and our ranger and tracker, King and Jeremy made the entire experience utterly fabulous. From beautifully appointed chalets, to sublime food courtesy of Naughty and her team to the incredible big 5 sightings, some of the best I've see in my many years round the sun. Highly recommended!

The lodge itself was kept very clean. Very spacious. Huge deck with a big bonfire pit that was utilized one night for a barbar(hope I got that right). The spa was very nice with a pool out in front. I was in one of the river view chalets. Out of this world!!! My ranger and tracker were very knowledgeable and I became friends with my ranger, Ruben. He took me out one morning for a bush walk. Highly recommend it.
