We stayed at Ikos Olivia as a couple with our 12-week-old baby, and it was honestly the most seamless and relaxing holiday we could have hoped for. The baby amenities were perfect — everything we requested was already set up in our room on arrival, including a steriliser, travel cot, and other essentials. It made travelling with a newborn so much easier and stress-free. The pools were all heated, which was a huge plus since the weather was a bit mixed during our stay. As our baby was so small we didnt keep her in the pool long, but older toddlers were loving it! We didn’t attend much of the entertainment, but we did catch the band in the lobby on Thursday night, and it was a really lovely atmosphere. It would have been nice if they had stayed on an extra hour or so. Dining: All of the restaurants were excellent, with something for everyone. Our absolute favourites were Fresco and Anaya — both offered incredible food and service. Ouzo was also lovely, though it did get extremely busy at lunchtime as only two à la carte restaurants and the buffet were open during the day. Another lunch restaurant would be ideal. Service & Staff: The service across the resort was next-level. A special shoutout to Marilena and Amanda at the main pool — both were outstanding and so attentive. The pool attendant there also deserves a mention for being super-efficient and helpful throughout our stay. We went to the kids pool one day and found it just a bit busier for our little one. Mela in guest relations was so helpful and friendly. The blonde lady who was the host at the buffet was so lovely too, we unfortunately didnt get her name! Room: Our room was noticeably larger than at other Ikos resorts we’ve stayed in, which made a big difference with the baby gear. It was a superior double with garden view. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the housekeeping team did a brilliant job. Room service was fantastic — prompt, delicious, and beautifully presented. We have never used it before but found it great with the baby. The resort is also incredibly buggy-friendly, which made getting around easy. Transfers were smooth and very well organised. Small suggestions: It would be great if the buffet theme was displayed somewhere each day, as it wasn’t always clear. Also, being able to break notes for cash tips would be really helpful — the online tipping works, but we prefer to hand tips directly to staff but ATM only dispensed €50s which was inconvenient as we like to tip as we go. I always check reviews for the weather and we had a mixed week. It was perfect for us with a small baby and we had 5 sunny days with some cloud, round 19 most days. 2 days were cloudy with some drizzle...not bad for mid-October! This was our fourth stay at an Ikos resort, but our first time at Olivia, and it completely exceeded our expectations. If you have a baby, this is absolutely the resort to go to — everything is so thoughtfully set up for families. We’ve already booked

I booked this holiday for 4 people and I have to say the hotel is beautiful. The staff are so professional and can’t do enough to help and make your stay here and absolutely joyful experience. We stayed on the 4th floor in the main hotel and both rooms had panoramic views of the sea which was stunning. The food at this hotel is exceptional. The rooms are well appointed and cleaned twice a day. Spotless service. If you are a family with children of all ages you will love this hotel. It has everything you need and more. For adult travellers who haven’t brought children it can be somewhat overwhelming the amount of toddlers and babies at the hotel. The on site crèche is very large. Although there is one adult only breakfast restaurant the main restaurant does have an adults section. We managed to get seated in there for breakfast on 3 occasions. However it was noisy with babies and families in the main restaurant you did struggle to have conversations over all the noise. The service by staff on the beach was excellent. We had a storm there when we stayed which did wash a few parts of the beach away. The staff ensured all damage was swiftly cleared and sorted without fuss immediately. The chaps who looked after the pool towels couldn’t do enough to sort out sun loungers in the morning for you. The ground keepers kept the gardens pristine. We had private Ikos transfers to and from the airport. I would thoroughly recommend this as we got to hotel very swiftly and same on return. If this hotel did an adults only bar area I would rebook immediately. This was the only downside of this hotel for me. You could not have a relaxing quiet drink without children who appeared tired and somewhat fractious. Having an adults only evening bar area and this place would absolutely make it a more enjoyable place to have a pre dinner cocktail. Loved the hotel and as I say perfectly wonderful for those with small families.

Everything you could want from an all inclusive holiday. Amazing staff, perfect setting and fabulous service where the focus is very much on the guests.

TLDR: 9/10. Gutted that the family vibe is not for us, as Olivia is a real gem. We’ve had so many recommendations from people who have holidayed in Ikos resorts, and were excited to try our first Ikos holiday, at the Olivia. To be fair, Ikos is primarily marketed towards families but, naively perhaps, we didn’t expect so many school-aged children to be there outside of school holidays. Parents seem to have the enviable ability to zone out the cacophony of children’s noise, which we unfortunately don’t possess. This takes nothing away from the lovely Olivia and its fantastic staff. It’s probably one of the nicest resorts we’ve stayed in, the absolute best in terms of service, with lovely rooms, beautiful grounds, excellent food, and no ‘add-ons’ to pay for the all-inclusive element (unlike some AI’s we’ve visited). It completely deserves all of its 5* reviews (except perhaps the ones which claim it’s peaceful! ;-)) and we had an amazing holiday, but we wouldn’t book a family resort again.

We visited for a week as a couple. We've stayed at Ikos before, amongst other higher end all inclusive resorts. Our stay at the Ikos Dassia last year was possibly the best stay we've ever had at an all inclusive resort. We're well aware they're very family friendly resorts, this doesn't bother us in the slightest, but the resorts also attract adults for an indulgent week away. We had a transfer booked through Ikos, we arrived and were promptly shown to our car with bottles of water. We arrived at the hotel, got sat down given a glass of fizz and checked in by Smaro, one of the Deluxe concierges. She was lovely! The check in process was friendly and efficient, then we were shown to a golf buggy and whisked to our room. It's not a huge resort compared to some of the newer Ikos, but the grounds are lovely and well maintained. We had a Deluxe 1 Bed Suite with a pool, it was worth the upgrade! The newly renovated rooms are lovely, minimal but stylish and comfortable. We were also a very short walk from the Deluxe pool. We didn't love the bed, but that's personal preference. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was cleaned daily and also turned down in an evening. The room cleaning staff were so lovely too! On the whole, the food was fantastic as always. Anaya was a favourite, but we didn't have a bad meal anywhere. We generally ate lunch around the pool but did try Ouzo and Flavors as well. The service around the deluxe pool was really good, both bar staff and the beach buddies. The QR codes made things very easy at times, and the duck sliders were a favourite for lunch! There were however a few things that let the hotel down and took the shine off what should have been a relaxing and luxurious week away. The service on the whole was fantastic, but there were a few service hiccups at times. However, all the staff worked extremely hard and were always very pleasant. Another issue is that some nights entertainment got cancelled with little to no notice, this left parents sitting around in the lobby bar and Potami, with kids running wild. I'm not bothered by kids being about enjoying their holiday, but left without something to do of an evening it seemed they had to burn off their energy somehow. Whilst I certainly don't want families and kids to sit quietly, it wasn't always a great experience with kids bombing through the sofa/table you were sat at almost knocking a drink out of your hand. Part of issue here is the hotel provided little variety between family activities or activities for couples at night, so people didn't have much of a choice of something to do - whether that be a lively bar or quiet cocktail somewhere, unless you went back to your room. I will say though that the management at the Ikos Olivia are very receptive to feedback, and went above and beyond to put right any issues we had, even though they didn't ruin the holiday. This shows how seriously they take the customer experience! Would I return? Yes... but I'd like to t

After a disappointing start to our holiday at Ikos Oceania, we transferred to Ikos Olivia hoping for the usual high standards we’ve experienced at other Ikos resorts. While Olivia was an improvement, it still didn’t quite match the exceptional experiences we’ve had at Ikos Dassia and Ikos Aria. Arrival & First Impressions The transfer was kindly arranged for us by the reservations manager who was excellent in ensuring we had a smooth transfer, and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The resort itself is beautiful, with modern, stylish décor and well-kept grounds. Our room was lovely spacious, comfortable, and tastefully designed — definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Dining Experience Dining, however, was a challenge. Because it was half-term and we arrived partway through the week, we struggled to secure restaurant reservations. The manager did try her best, but options were very limited. We were offered one booking at 9pm, which was too late for our six-year-old, and another at an off-site restaurant, which we cancelled as it wasn’t what we wanted. Unfortunately, this meant we didn’t get to experience all of the on-site restaurants, which was quite disappointing. When we did dine, the food quality was good, though service varied. Some staff were excellent, but others seemed rushed or overwhelmed, which made meals feel less relaxed than expected. Activities & Entertainment We also struggled to book activities. The bikes and tennis courts were fully booked for the entire week, with only 8pm slots available for tennis not ideal for families. The evening entertainment was enjoyable but very short, lasting only around 30 minutes, which felt underwhelming compared to other Ikos resorts. We attended the wine tasting event, which began 20 minutes late. The lady running it was actually very good and knowledgeable, but it was clear she had been asked to step in at the last minute, which made the session feel a bit unorganized despite her best efforts. Atmosphere & Service The resort felt extremely busy, particularly around the pools, which made it difficult to find a spot or enjoy a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Service overall was hit and miss some staff were fantastic, while others seemed stretched thin. The management team were helpful and did their best, but the resort didn’t quite capture the seamless, polished experience we’ve come to expect from Ikos. Overall Impression Ikos Olivia has a lot to offer beautiful rooms, a lovely beachfront setting, and moments of excellent service but it struggled with organization and availability during a busy period. While there were enjoyable moments, the lack of dining and activity availability, short entertainment, and inconsistent service meant this stay didn’t live up to the five-star Ikos experience we’ve come to love at Dassia and Aria. Pros: • Beautiful, modern rooms with lovely décor • Gorgeous beachfront location and well-maintained grounds • Friendly and helpful management team
