Aparthotel Duva & Spa

I loved my stay at Duva. Me and my family were always entertained . the 3 pools were fun and spacious.The room was a good size and the balcony was massive with a nice view.We also liked the fun activities provided by Duva.All the staff are very friendly. The shuttle bus goes to town every day except the weekend and the overall resort was good with nice restaurants and Giravolta was divine.Overall it was perfect and I would love to come back

Comfortable hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Has the cleanest swimming pool I've been in. Breakfast and evening meal was very good, lots of choices. Apartment was well equipped. Probably a 20 minute walk to the beach and restaurant

Writing this whilst still at the hotel on our last day. I have to say I’m sad to be leaving. We’ve had an amazing time. Friendly staff, lovely snacks by the pool and exactly the base we needed for a 10 day self catering stay. The apartment was well appointed and thoroughly clean on arrival. It was also visited most days (I think) by cleaners and did a great job. We enjoyed high temperatures for mid September and as a cyclist this was great. I brought my own bike and it was stored in a locked cage in the underground bicycle storage facility. This was also a good area to set up on arrival and dismantle before departure. The town (Port) is about 10-15 minutes walk through a lovely residential area or you can take advantage of the hotels own free shuttle bus, which drops you in town. Just over the road are a couple of bar/restaurants and a great little supermarket for food and sundries. As I’ve said we were self catering so this was ideal. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and for a few Euros you can do some exploring. I would suggest using your mobile to pay as it works out even cheaper to ‘tap on and tap off’ for each journey. It’s Market day every Wednesday in town. A lot of ‘Tat’ but hey it’s cheap. This is a great hotel for exploring the island, very cyclist friendly due to its facilities and proximity to some bucket list climbs and stunning scenery. I highly recommend it. A big thumbs up to all the staff for making this a fantastic holiday. Super helpful and friendly and I must give a final thumbs up to Luciano who works tirelessly every day to put a smaller on everyone’s face. So much positive energy. Thanks Apart Hotel Duva. I’d been wanting to stay here for years, drawn by my love of the resort and the solid reviews I’d seen. We’ve just returned from a week, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. We booked self-catering with the idea of upgrading to B&B or half board after sampling the food—but sadly, we were disappointed. Neither of us are fussy eaters, but the variety was lacking at both breakfast and dinner. Hot dishes were often cold, and there was no chef on hand for simple fresh eggs, which are standard in many hotels. One evening’s pork dish was dry, tasteless, and like cardboard. The snack bar meals were just about edible, really disappointing cocktails / overpriced and frankly awful—after two, we didn’t bother again! Thankfully, the poor food didn’t ruin our holiday, and we were relieved not to have prepaid for half board. The building itself is in serious need of a refresh. It looks tired and neglected—a coat of paint would go a long way. The grounds, including the gardens and ponds, have enormous potential but are uncared for. Our one-bedroom apartment was reasonably equipped, though we only used the kettle so can’t comment on much else. The sofa bed was fine for a quick sit down , but our balcony—facing a field and obscured by trees—was noisy due to nearby traffic, so we barely used it, which was a shame. The shower was decent, but the bathroom felt cheaply refurbished. The tiles were in poor condition, the bath was stained, and there seemed to be a leak—despite our efforts, puddles kept appearing on the floor. Hot water was inconsistent, and the air conditioning didn’t perform well either. One small mercy: no sunbed wars. Though we did see a few hopeful guests reserving beds early, felt sad for them as there was no need! Staff worked hard and were friendly, but clearly stretched—more hands would help. The main pool area was a letdown. It never seemed to be cleaned or swept, and rubbish lingered for days. The pool itself had visible dirt at the bottom. On our last day, a rain shower left our towels covered in mud from splashes off the grout between tiles—not a huge issue for us, but others might find it unpleasant. Also worth noting: the pool is very deep, which may not suit everyone. Despite all the above, we made the best of it and didn’t let these issues spoil our holiday. That said, I’d rate this as a three-star plus at best—not a true four-star—and sadly, I wouldn’t rebook.

Very efficient and friendly. Pau the head waiter looked after us for breakfast dinner. Also big thank you to James the gap year guy, he always greeted us with a smile and a chat.-also working hard!
