The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences

A nice property in a good location with very friendly and helpful staff. The newer buildings are much nicer, especially the adults-only pool. The main pool can get crowded and noisy. Most of the food was also above average for an all inclusive resort.

Excellent experience with the facilities and staff. Anything I needed was answered timely. The food was great and the activities within the facilities were fun.

Stay was amazing! Rooms were perfect. Everyone is very attentive and friendly. Nightly entertainment was fun. Restaurants were all great. A buffet for dinner would be a nice option. Looking forward to our next stay at The Fives Beach Hotel and Residence.

Resort - the resort is great and beautiful. Great and safe place to walk around. Everyone was very friendly. Food - the food was amazing. This was our 2nd time to the resort and we came back for the food and it did not disappoint. Every place we are at was amazing except for the Mexican (mestizo). The Italian (Arezzo) and Thai (koi Thai) places were our favorite. They also have lovely older ladies making fresh tortillas multiple places. The food is the best of any resort I have ever been too. Room - we had 1 bedroom residence that we split with two girls. We had plenty of room. The room was plenty spacious and always kept clean. Pools - the pools were great and plenty of them. Most of the pools had their own bar which was nice. Bars - Bars everywhere. You never have a problem finding a drink. Bartenders are great. Beach/ocean - there was seaweed galore. Probably the worst it has been in years. Nothing you can do about that though. The beach was kept clean. Even if the ocean was clear the beach going into the water is rocky. This is the main reason k give this place a 4 stars instead of 5. Entertainment - the entertainment is good. This place has a way more laid back environment. If you want a party place, this is not it. If you want a place where you get to hear live music in a pavilion at night this is your place.

Room was nice , but the penthouse epic suite wasn’t actually the epic package which was misleading . They also didn’t let you make reservations at restaurants unless you were a member and were not transparent about it leading to more disappointment . We were denied access to restaurants saying they were booked . Also several restaurants are combined so they say 14 restaurants but it’s really 5 or 6. No service at the pools or beach , food was decent but had to wait to let those with reservations dine first . Also what looked like a hot tub on our penthouse roof was actually hot and the jets didn’t work which was useless . Next time I’d stay at a different resort .

Arrived home last week from a lovely relaxing stay at the Fives. We had read some negative comments on the Facebook page which had make us worry we weren’t going to have a great time. But we had the best time, it was also our first time in Mexico too! The hotel- beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife, room spacious and cleaned daily with toiletries, only negative there is only beer in the fridge as an alcoholic option, however I did bring a drink up from the bar so didn’t cause an issue. Bars and restaurants- great selection of food we tried all restaurants other than the seafood ones as we aren’t seafood fans however, the seafood available in the buffet style restaurant looked amazing! Our favourite was La Brassiere for breakfast, Flavours and Thai for dinner, we did eat at Lizzards for lunch which has a great selection of tasty healthy meals. We only queued once for Thai as we had been on a day trip and arrived late so ate in flavours that night, you are also given a buzzer if you are in a queue and you can take that to the bar whilst waiting for table! The 1910 bar on a night is open late once the entertainment finished too and is lovely to sit in either great decor! Pools- lots of pools and sunbeds always available we spent time at the high energy pool the daily aquazumba was great fun and actually quite hard! Both instructors were great and made the session fun! Beach pool has a beautiful view, great bar service with staff regularly taking orders at your sunbed. The beach is beautiful no seaweed when we went woke for sunrise a couple of times although the weather wasn’t too great, the beach is cleaned each morning. Entertainment- lots of day time activities for all ages, night entertainment which was our main concern was fantastic, the team work so hard and this shows during each performance, the white party was great and although it rained the staff were able to deliver the performance undercover near the Thai restaurant, after this we had a DJ and u think it might have been the male aqua Zumba man who had everyone up dancing fab night! Mexican night is great with lots going on! Health and wellbeing - the gym is great has lots of equipment and is air conditioned, towels and water available. Spa- myself and my daughter did the body scrub, and skin care workshops would definitely recommend them I did want to try other workshops but we were on day trips. These were also free just book when you arrive to secure your space. Staff- from arriving to leaving all staff are so friendly, accommodating and smiley. Dionicio was fab in the plaza on a night kept our drinks topped up without asking, smiley, chatty and friendly. Bernando in the Thai was friendly and welcoming, brought us food to sample while we decided what to order, kept drinks topped up. Luis our ambassador he was welcoming and friendly, shown us round the humo and vino food place in the plaza and explained a bit of the Mexican culture too us, always came to say hel
