팔마이아-더 하우스 오브 아이아: 올 인클루시브 웰니스 리조트(Palmaïa - the House of AïA Wellness Enclave All Inclusive)

This was our second visit to palmaia this year. From the moment one arrives at this enclave you are greated by a friendly staff member, Oscar if you are lucky. Food is top notch as well as the drink selection. Most meals can have various meats added as an option as well as everything prepared to your vegan/vegetarian needs or dietary restrictions. Staff is exceptional all around with too many to list. Entertainment has improved for longer dj hours, or maybe there were just more people this visit. As for prior comments regarding children, and statements I overheard at the resort: For example, Its simply rude to expect staff members to know what a "babychino" is and get all fussy about it. Just tell them some frothed milk and move on, don't be ignorant. This is a wellness retreat and markets itself as such, not magic kingdom. As for activities the rituals deck sessions were always a must as well as spidermonkey spotting from the greenhouse to the spa. Beach is incredible because of shallow sandbar and is my preference considering the pools are unheated. We look forward to returning and seeing you once again in March.

My family and I stayed at Palmaia for 5 nights and we loved it. The beautiful exclusive beach, the bars and drinks, service, the pools; everything was great. Key standouts: - their restaurants and cafe (plantissa). The food is awesome and the decor will blow you away - their classes (yoga, meditation, art, workouts, and others) - their rituals and concerts - the various and awesome vegetarian food options (I am am a meat eater and I only ate veg) - their super friendly and helpful "nomadic guides" who answered all our questions within minutes/updated us on programmes and helped us with restaurant reservations. Special shoutout to Mario, the supervisor. - the bikes, that we used for biking within and outside the property. - etc. etc You cannot go wrong with the place. It was a truly relaxing vacation for my family and we hope to be back here.

Overall this hotel has great facilities for kids. It’s such close proximity to the ocean which is super convenient and beautiful. The food is great and there are multiple restaurants onsite to choose from. The biggest downside was the service - it took forever to get our meals (which with two young kids can be painful!) and often dishes were forgotten. This made mealtimes quite stressful and less enjoyable. For a kid-centric hotel, this should be a priority to keep the kids (and their parents) happy!

Everything was fantastic. The property is gorgeous. Safe. Walkable. Quiet. Peaceful. The staff was great. Very attentive. Food was delicious. My one hiccup - the night time nomadic concierge was often very late in responding to requests. 20 minutes late one time. 2 hours later another time. The day time nomadic concierge was superb and responsive immediately. Night time not so much. Thank you.

My best vacation so far. The property is stunning, the service is exceptional. It is an oasis of wellness! Already planning a longer trip next year!

Although this is a wellness resort focused on one's personal journey of spiritual enlightenment, ours was more of a short-term focus on enjoying the beach and Caribbean surf. The property is beautiful and the staff, some of the friendliest in the world...especially Domingo at the restaurant LEK and his Caribbean rum knowledge!

This place is a dream. The food is amazing and many activities are offered, yoga, pranayama, meditation, soundbath, workout and so much more. The staff is attentive and friendly. I would love to go back.

Really outstanding place to have recharge, even if you aren’t vegan. Service is excellent, food is good, there are enough options and even if you aren’t vegan, there you still can have good time and try out some of vegan dishes (some of them are great). Cocktails are outstanding. If you feel they are watered down to your taste- just ask double alcohol, they’ll make it. Beach is great and much less packed than Sandos next door. You would definitely feel secluded. Jungle areas are also great and well maintained with all kind of tranquility you need.

We spent a few days at Palmaia in late December with our two young kids. Palmaia is part of the Sandos resort and has its own exclusive portion of the property. Palmaia is clearly more serene and calming than Sandos, even with plenty of families at the pool and restaurants. Palmaia’s rooms seem to be new and housekeeping was very good at keeping things clean for a tropic beach resort. We also liked how green the property was on the main road and the easy access to the beaches and pools. The kids pool was a highlight for our family, giving our kids plenty of space to splash and go down the water slides. Palmaia’s provided airport transportation and the front desk kept things smooth for us, although we noticed a few other rooms struggling to get back to the airport on time. We chose Palmaia mainly because we thought it was a food destination, but we didn’t enjoy it as much as anticipated. Certainly the vegan options provide variety that other resorts lack, but overall we were underwhelmed. Drinks and food preparation are inconsistent, including salt and spiciness levels. Items on the menu were also mislabeled, especially at the Asian restaurant where terms like shoyu and omakase did not reflect what was served. Occasionally they will have fresh coconuts to drink from, but they do not have a way to fully open them. Our favorite place ended up being the taco truck, but that place consistently ran out of beers. A few execution details could make a big difference.
