Kings Creek Station

We stayed in the Drover's Dream glamping accommodation and thought it was good value for the remote location. Beautiful outlook over the escarpment! Stunning sunset. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine next to the firepit before a delicious BBQ dinner. Check-in and out were easy with the lovely Nalyn. Everything was provided. We wished that we'd had longer and will return.

The Drover’s Dream accommodation was outstanding: comfortable, very private, ( even with a couple in the next tent) beautiful views, great outdoor kitchen and deck, fire-pit under the stars was fabulous. Cafe and store also have terrific food and easy access. For us so much more relaxing than the KC resort up the road (where we also stayed for a night). We would love to stay again!!

The powered sites are huge , plenty of room plus you can have a fire. They have Unleaded and Diesel, a shop and a great chef to keep your belly in check, Alcohol can also be purchased here. The ammenities are large , hot water and 3 hooks to hang your clothing and towel, plus there is a large pool undercover. The Dingo's at night really added to the whole outback feel, I did check out the Discovery Park at Kings Canyon but much prefer Kings Creek, you will park on sand not gravel. I'll definitely add the campground to m Bucket List

Love it, we feel like we are in the wilderness in a safari tent and hearing dingoes howling overnight which was an inspiration for my husband! I’d have loved to hear it, oh well, someday in paradise :) However we saw camels walking past in the morning which was great!

We enjoyed our stay at Kings Canyon Creek Station as its not too far from the Kings Canyon. The station issetup well for kids and adults. The park at the station centre is well equipped and it has a good sunset point. The rooms were immaculately clean. The staff is really wonderful and friendly. The quality of the food at the cafe is great. Quite a good variety. Only suggestion I have is to include atleast one variety of rice dish to cater to Asian and Indian tourist.

Really well run camping ground. Clean and well organized. Staff was lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Watch out for wild animals, in the night dingos were close to the camp. The buggy tour was a lot of fun. Highly recommended for adventure seekers.

A very well run camping stop with easy access to King's Canyon rim walk. We took our hired campervan there for two nights before returning to the Macdonald range. Well maintained swimming pool and facilities. We would recommend this stop to anyone, just take a fly net. This is a must for the Red Centre.

We paid $400 per night for the Mort Conway huts. The bed was so big and comfortable! The tents had the right mix of outback and spacious luxury. The flies are atrocious but this is the environment of the Australian outback. Perhaps an outdoor gazebo with full fly screens would be a nice addition to the tents. Also the pool is pointless when it is so far away. We didn’t bother. The staff were polite and this was all. No staff member in the whole time (3 nights) took the opportunity to have any conversation at all. Apart from Roo (?) on the morning of checkout who chatted to us about the history of KCS when he saw us taking an interest in the video at the Brekky buffet. The dinner food was fantastic but we should have used takeaway because the dining facilities would be more suited to a students dormitory. Breakfast was extremely rustic…. It filled us for a day of exploring the beautiful Kings Canyon.

Cosy bush tent with a great view. Felt so lucky to be able to stay in the outback and so close to Kings Canyon. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the cafe food and the complimentary breakfast. Clean toilet and shower facilities.Just a lovely relaxing place to stay.
