I stayed in this hotel between 17 till 20th February. First night I bought a Pizza to eat at my room in Hotel in which I was faced with an aggressive behavior of Hotel owner mentioning that I am not allowed to eat at room. I asked him it is not normal not to have permission to eat at hotel room and since I found this hotel in ***********, I checked this website and nothing regarding that was mentioned there. The shower head in my room was broken. 2nd day in the morning I informed the hotel owner and he promised to fix for the same day. when I came back from work on the second day (18/02/2026) I noticed that it is not fixed and I had to take shower with a broken shower head. It became fixed only for 3rd day of my stay !! (refer to photo attached) For such price (120 € /day), the breakfast service was not good at all. There was no egg ! also they ask you in the morning if you want Tea or Coffee !? It shall be available both for anyone who wants to drink anything. They just wanted to save money! Toilet was not clean as well as shown in photo. Also there was construction which changed the view of interior of hotel which was not mentioned in the notice before any reservation. I forgot to take photo of the construction unfortunately. As a conclusion, neither the service was good nor the behavior of hotel owner. I am really disappointed.

The pool and the rooms are way smaller than expected and the breakfast was pretty expensive.

Cosy hotel near Lyon A very cute and special hotel. Rooms are personal and cosy. Good service.

Friendly staff/inconvenient location/amenities OK Not an ideal location if you plan to use public transit to visit Lyon. Our cab from the train station was 70 euro, and in hindsight we could have stayed in just as nice of a hotel closer to the city after considering the price we had to pay in transportation. There was no one at reception when we checked in (during regular hours), my cell phone couldn’t connect to the assistance number so luckily our taxi driver allowed us to use his phone so we could call to be checked in. When the worker arrived at reception he was friendly and spoke fluent English. We visited in early June and our room was warm and damp with no option for AC because the weather wasn’t hot enough. We also expected to avail of the pool displayed in the photos for this hotel however the pool was closed. It must only be open during a specific time frame however, this time frame was not mentioned in the listing. Overall we had a mostly comfortable stay and the staff was nice, however the amenities were not as expected and the location was not convenient for the price.

We were so pleased to have discovered this well-managed hotel - which offers really comfortable accommodation, at great-value prices. For a three-night stay in the Lyon area it provided us with the ideal base - convenient for the city, and with some other great destinations to explore, including the mediaeval city of Perouges. We really appreciated the hotel facilities (including a relaxing pool area), the excellent breakfast, and the hospitality of the hotel owner. We made good use of restaurants which are within a short walk of the hotel, including 'Per Lei' - an excellent pizzeria. 'Le Petit Casset' was such a good choice - and we have really happy memories of our stay - thank you Patrick!

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable à l’Hôtel du Petit Casset. Dès notre arrivée, le maître des lieux nous a accueillis avec un sourire chaleureux et un franc-parler rafraîchissant. Son humour et sa convivialité ont immédiatement mis tout le monde à l’aise. Il est clair que le gérant se donne beaucoup de mal pour ses clients, n’hésitant pas à répondre aux commentaires avec une franchise désarmante. La literie de haute qualité assurait des nuits reposantes, et la propreté irréprochable témoignait du sérieux de l’établissement. Les petites attentions, comme les crêpes et le panetone frais au petit-déjeuner, ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience authentique et conviviale.

Idéal pour une nuit . Nous étions de passage dans la région.situé en retrait de la nationale, au calme. Bon accueil. Chambre propre, bonne literie. On peut profiter d’une petite terrasse. Dommage … la piscine n’était pas en fonction. Très bon petit déjeuner varié et complet

Etablissement actuellement en travaux mais le gerant veille a votre confort. Pas de vrai restauration mais un plat unique fait maison...c'est un peu juste. Pour Tripadvisor Mon avis me suffit meme s'il ne rempli pas vos critres de longueur.
