Goldenlake Apartment

Beautiful and Friendly If you are looking for a view, this is the place. It's gorgeous. Michelle is a great host - friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean and comfortable with a good supply of needed kitchen items and a Nespresso machine. I need to mention transportation. Getting a taxi can be a challenge at times. Rita, one of the drivers, rescued us more than once (save her number). The walk down to Varenna is doable but coming back requires strong legs and lungs. You will need to organize your day around the bus schedule if you don't have a car or scooter. Everyone is friendly and provides advice but not always accurate advice. Varenna is lovely but restaurant reservations are frequently needed, even in the shoulder seasons. The food and wine are most enjoyable. I would come again but I would need to talk my wife into riding on the back of a scooter. Ciao.
